In this episode, Eric and Derek tackle the sad, lonely, and psychotic world of a group of “men” that would probably be a lot happier if they weren’t part of the self-hating subculture that they claim. Their sick, twisted views on the world and the people they hold responsible for their station in life is truly baffling. Join us as we take a deep dive into the topic of Incels. (involuntary celibates)

Ever wonder how ruthless the internet could be? Even in a positive way? Come, take a journey with Derek, Brian, and Eric as we explore the funniest example of the internet serving cold, hard justice.

Welcome back to Season 2 of Life Bytes! In this episode, Brian and Derek explore the haunting and unsolved case of Brandon Lawson, a Texas man who disappeared one evening after making a very concerning and confusing call to 9-1-1. We play the audio, we explore the theories, and we feel damn good to be back in your ears.

After a public message was sent to us from the main weirdo himself (Beedle Bodkins), Brian decided he has some things to say. Strap in, it’s a classic Brian and Derek episode!

In the weird world of the internet, you discover something bizarre and sometimes it discovers you. beedle_bodkins found our show on Instagram, and we decided to check out their profile. Big, big mistake.

Brian finally shares his embarrassing failed rap career with the world. In 2003, there were many underground battle rap forums hidden through-out the web that hosted communities, resources, and tournaments for all dorks wanting to be Eminem. This boasted a very interesting sub-culture not many people knew existed deep in the early days of the internet. Lots of music in this episode, enjoy!

Saltybet is a website where you can use fake money to bet on the most ridiculous matchups in all pop-culture history. It’s pretty much digital cock-fighting on LSD. It’s extremely addictive, absolutely insane, and 100% free. Come get weird with us as we go all-in on Ronald McDonald beating up Mike Tyson in an igloo to Korean hip-hop. Yeah, it’s weird.

Kerry Johnson is a disturbed person hiding behind the face of a happy individual… literally. Kerry Johnson is a YouTuber who has created a “movement” for wearing latex female body suits and portraying a character that “live” in a fantasy world. Not only are Kerry’s videos extremely unnerving, but there is also a very heavy sense of inspiration from people like Ed Gein. With Brian out for a few weeks, Derek flys solo for this episode of Life Bytes.

Derek and Brian are still a week out from fixing all the issues they experienced with the equipment being damaged from relocation, so instead of NOT releasing an episode this week, The Sofa King Podcast came to the rescue! This episode is from 2015, when Brian Ross was a guest. It’s about coffee, and I understand that sounds boring but I can assure you this episode is a riot, enjoy!

Special thanks to Brent Van Tassel, Brad Taylor, and Dave Moton for letting us re-broadcast this episode.

Sickanimation.com is the playground for the anarchic mind of Marc M. His web cartoons and music includes everything offensive under the sun: racism, sexism, homophobia, all combined with pop-culture references and current events. Here’s the thing though, it’s REALLY funny. Marc M. himself does not promote these negative social constructs yet, instead, he makes fun of the views and issues surrounding them in a very Andy Kaughman way. Is he cheap toilet humor or a genius? You decide.

Have you ever read a news article that leads with something like “Florida man, high on meth, tries to rob liquor store with dead stingray”? In this episode of Life Bytes, Derek and Brian explore websites dedicated to the most absurd news ever reported which oddly enough almost entirely comes from Florida. We’ve chosen some of our favorites, come sit down and get your floridaman on.

Brian introduces Derek to one of his favorite YouTube horror series, “Local 58”. In very digestible clips, Local 58 is a small collection of scary short videos, portrayed from the perspective of a local news channel. Produced and created by the same mind behind the “candle cove” creepypasta, these videos are very unique is their ability to entice uncomfortableness with very little resources. No actors, no large production budgets, just simplistic and sometimes terrifying content. Enjoy!

Cheesy 80’s cop drama mixed with a “grease” style musical production and the end result is pure hilariousness. Come ride with Brian and Derek as they have the time of their lives with this one.

Possibly the weirdest webpage we’ve discovered thus far, “Sentimental Corp” is an “interesting” site that seems to contain much odd video content, disturbing music, some bat-sh*t crazy writings- all having themes of government conspiracy, MK Ultra brainwashing, Illuminati, occult concepts, and at the same time can serve as a “severe mental illness simulator”. This one is weird, folks.

A symphony of unintentional comedy, “Miami Connection” is the film nobody wanted, but everybody needs. Brian and Derek dive headfirst into the epic 80’s kung-fu movie that HOLDS NO HANDS AND TAKES NO SH*T. Seriously, it’s awful, here’s an excerpt from the movie box: ” It’ll take every ounce of their blood and courage, but Dragon Sound can’t stop until they’ve completely destroyed the dealers, the drunk bikers, the kill-crazy ninjas, the middle-aged thugs, the “stupid cocaine”…and the entire MIAMI CONNECTION!!!”

4chan is known as the wild west of the internet, where there are no rules just madness. Its users have been responsible for the formation or popularization of Internet memes such as lolcats, Rickrolling, “Chocolate Rain”, Pedobear and as well as the origin of slender man, internet serial killers, and very gruesome content.
