Just me yacking about a few updates. I am repainting an old artwork and I might do a bunch of these. I'll upload an entire speedpaint of this painting when it's finished. My original drawing of Zephyra was done in 2010 and was based off of a stock photo by my friend Ida Mary Walker aka mizzd-stock on DeviantArt. Please go check it out. She has beautiful stock photos that are great references for artists.

My old roleplaying character from back in the days of yore when I RP'd in the AOL Rhy'din chatrooms and IRC. Been wanting to do her justice for years. I might do more artwork of her in the future. This is PART 1 of a tutorial on painting in Photoshop CS6 for artists who are no yet familiar with the program. This tutorial was created with complete newbies in mind who don't know how to use the program. I do not use hotkeys. If you want to learn how to use the hotkeys, there are tutorials out there for that. If you decide to paint this butterfly exactly the same, I ask that you please credit me and link to this tutorial anywhere that you post your finished painting online.

FYI I am in no way saying this is the best way to do ANYTHING. Fiddle with your photoshop settings as you like, do things your own way if it works better for you. Oh yeah, I'm Texan and I ramble. Sorry? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol
