- Far from a series of diplomatic blunders, the escalating tensions in the Middle East are part of a long-standing US policy of baiting Iran into open war in pursuit of containment and regime change;

- The US Army has cancelled a long-range artillery prototype because barrels were wearing out too quickly;

- The US seeks to evaluate existing Western artillery systems to extend the range of American artillery systems;

- This is done supposedly after learning lessons from the ongoing fighting in Ukraine;

- The real problem is the collective West's inability to mass produce weapons and ammunition;

- Longer-range systems may not make them more effective on modern battlefields where counter-battery operations is conducted using long-range drones;

- Russia and China are no longer lagging in terms of military capabilities or the technology associated with them, the determining factor is quantity;

- America's for-profit arms industry prefers small numbers of expensive weapons over large quantities of simple but effective systems, creating these shortcomings in Western artillery systems;

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for April 8, 2024…

- Ukrainian forces continue losing territory as arms, ammunition, and manpower shortages continue to grow;

- Ammunition "initiatives" across Europe claiming to have found "millions" of artillery rounds gloss over important factors such as caliber, interoperability, and the condition of rounds held in storage;

- At best, the initiatives will temporarily provide Ukraine with enough ammunition to match previous rates of fire, but other critical shortages will continue to grow meaning the vector sum of the fighting will still favor Russian forces;

- Attempts by the US and Europe to intervene in Ukraine as a means of checking Russian advances may end in even worse defeat for the collective West;

- Attempts by Ukraine to target Russian oil refineries have led Western analysts to falsely conflate fuel export bans with perceived damage and repair efforts;

- Claims that Russia is unable to repair energy production infrastructure are based on the same flawed reasoning that led many Western analysts to assume Russia's military industrial base would be crippled following Western sanctions;

- US policymakers have sought to use Israel as a proxy to provoke a full-scale war with Iran for years;

- Just as the US created a large-scale conflict in Ukraine to reassert itself over Europe, it is attempting to use conflict to reassert itself in the Middle East and at a minimum prevent the region from uniting and moving out from under Western hegemony;

- The window of opportunity for the US and proxies like Israel to fight and win a military conflict against Iran and its allies in the region is quickly closing, thus efforts are being made to provoke such a conflict sooner rather than later;

- Even in US policy papers in 2009, it was admitted that Iran would likely ignore US-Israeli provocations, including air strikes on Iran itself, meaning that the possibility of a false flag attack blamed on Iran to usher in Washington’s desired war is a possibility;

- US-backed separatists have also targeted the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan on at least one occasion;

- Because the US cannot directly attack China’s BRI worldwide, it does through through proxies and is yet another illustration of the role terrorism plays in advancing US foreign policy objectives and the threat the US poses to international peace, prosperity, and stability;

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for March 17, 2024…

- Attempts by Ukraine to cross the Ukrainian-Russian border near Belgorod have been defeated by Russian forces;

- The attacks took place as part of a larger public relations campaign involving pin-prick attacks across Russia as Russian elections began;

- Western media has previously reported that attacks deep into Russian territory are met by indifference or even more determined support for Moscow among the Russian public and that such public relations stunts are meant more to bolster flagging Ukrainian morale;

- Ukraine’s cross-border operations come at a time when its forces are being pushed back along the line of contact after losing the heavily fortified city of Avdeevka;

- The US has announced a $300 million arms and ammunition package for Ukraine including additional ammunition for HIMARS and 155mm shells;

- The US claims this package is the result of finding additional funding from previous allotments but is more likely damage control regarding Washington’s inability to properly supply its Ukrainian proxies;

- CNN admits that Russia is producing at least 3 times more artillery ammunition than the US and Europe combined, this follows Western media admissions that Russia is making overall at least 7 times more munitions of all kinds than the collective West;

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for February 25, 2024...

- Russian forces have cleared Avdeevka, taking over a thousand Ukrainian soldiers prisoner, illustrating the disorganized nature of Ukraine’s withdrawal;

- The US Department of Defense admits essential supporting elements for sustaining US weapon systems transferred to Ukraine were never provided, thus inhibiting the effective use of US arms by Ukrainians;

- A fighting force makes up a small percentage of an overall military service because of the large amount of support infantry require on the modern battlefield. Without these supporting elements, a fighting force cannot sustain combat especially against a better supported force;

- US military equipment is especially complex to sustain and maintain on the battlefield, a fact illustrated by US purchases of Russian helicopters for Afghan forces because US helicopters were too difficult to fly, maintain, and sustain;

- The end game for Ukraine is particularly bleak considering the attritional nature of the conflict, Russia’s ability to outproduce Ukraine and its allies, and the unrealistic objectives Ukraine and its Western sponsors are attempting to achieve;

- Attempts to focus on Russian military shortcomings while ignoring Ukrainian military shortcomings produces a fatally flawed perception of the conflict disallowing both the means and objectives of the fighting to be realistically evaluated;
