This is a short fan animation of "Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal", a movie from 1982.

I've seen this movie when I was little and loved it. The characters and the world of Thra is absolutely magical and mysterious. I'm extremely happy that a Prequel has been made, "The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance" which I've seen a couple of times now and hoping for a season 2!

Also, Brian Froud did the design concept for "The Dark Crystal", his art is beautiful and inspiring!

I might do another short fan animation of one of my favorite movies in the future.

I couldn't think of a good title for this video, lol.

This is a practice animation, animated in Clip Studio Paint. I have used Clip Studio Paint before, but could not figure out the animation part of this program. So I watched some tutorials and made this short animation.

I needed to switch from Adobe Flash Animation to Clip Studio Paint because unfortunately Adobe Flash was not working well and it just got worse and unusable.

This was originally my unfinished Animation Capstone Project from around 2009 - 2010. It really needed a lot of work. There were many unfinished scenes. So, I went back and now it's finished!
I was really tempted to just start over and redraw and animate everything again, but decided not to. I wanted to keep the original work and tweak a few things.
