I got an awesome new apple watch but I can't figure out how to set the time. Maybe somebody out there can help.

So, as it turns out, the obvious and natural way to eat a banana is to hold the stem, and pinch open the pointy end. I've been doing it wrong my whole life!
Your fortune: You will conquer obstacles to achieve successes.

The video builds a three dimensional color cube that combines RGB HSV and CMYK color space into an object you can hold in your hand.
Artists think about color differently than technical people. I'm no artist, I'm analytical and think about color as numbers and the math used in their display. That's a horrible way to describe the vivid evocative continuous spectrum that fills a rainbow. You have to SEE color, you have to experience it with your senses. Artist deal with this all the time, how to convey the idea or emotion through an object. I saw a video about artist Sam Gilliam who saw the new exciting color pallet of the 1960's and 70's, and created a new art form. He turned the sagmented incomplete color swatches from a technical idea at an art store into continuous color field on unstretched canvas. Inspired by that idea, I want to show how continuous color can be turned into a three dimensional cube.
A little background first. We think of color as one characteristic of another object; there's a red car, green lawn, or blue sea. Color by itself is just an idea. Yes, it requires light, but the energy in the light is not exactly color. Color is created inside your brain. Your eyes are sensitive to three energy levels of light, red, green and blue. But the amount of energy detected in your eyes is measured and mixed in the neural pathways of your brain to create the idea of color. But come on, isn't color really real, isn't it really light? No. Not all colors exist in light. Every color in the rainbow comes from sunlight, right? Yes... except magenta. Magenta exists, it's a combination of red and blue light. But there is no magenta energy, no magenta wavelength in sunlight. There is no magenta energy in artificial light. There is no such thing as magenta photons. But magenta exists... in your mind. Magenta is an idea.
If color is an idea, how can it be measured or quantified? How can two humans accurately share the idea of color? To do so people smarter than me have come up with “color space”. A color space is a way of defining and agreeing on what a color is. The monitor you are looking at is using an RGB or Red Green Blue color space. The grocery store circular uses a CMYK or Cyan Magenta Yellow blacK color space. And digital artists use an HSL Hue Saturation and Lightness or HSV (Value) color space. Those all sound like different things with different rules, but they all still relate back to the way humans sense and experience color. This video shows how they relate to each other, how they fit together.
The 3D cube created for the video is a lowtech way experiencing color and how color spaces relate to each other. You can download the template as a .PDF from this link:

Miami Fort trail, located in Shawnee lookout park, follows the walls of an ancient Hopewell earthwork. The fortified hilltop was included in Squire and Davis' landmark work "Ancient Monuments of the Mississippi Valley" published in 1848. While the ancient fort is about 2000 years old, the hillside has another unique historical aspect. Over 300,000 years ago the hill was covered by a pre-illinoian glacier. It left a mix of gravel sand and other till atop the hill. The hill somehow avoided being destroyed by the following two glaciations. Now the well drained soil on top of the hill is a great environment for Pawpaw trees.

In the days after the car wreck I was stuck in bed. It was painful to move. Basic bodily functions like going to the bathroom was difficult and painful. I recorded what my experience was, but didn't update anyone with it. Now, months later, I thought I would remind myself of the experience. It was probably the most pain I've ever had to endure. The pain gradually lessened.
Thanks to everyone that prayed for my recovery.

Dash cam video of head-on collision. 20200608.
There is less than a second between the car being visible and the crash. Note the image shift down when I hit the brakes. I slowed the crash down to 9.99% speed.
The audio is Leonard French playing at 1.5x speed.

Step by step process I use when making raspberry jam.

It follows the recipe provided with Sure Jell and Certo pectin
6 1/2 cups of sugar
1/2 tsp of butter
1 package of pectin
8 cups of un-crushed raspberries.

Mix the sugar, butter and crushed raspberries in a 4 quart pot.
Bring to a rolling boil for 1 minute.
Add the pectin.
Bring back to a rolling boil for one minute.
Remove from heat and ladle into jars.
Clean the threads and cap the jars.
Let jars cool at room temperature.

There is a great dinosaur exhibit in the Evolving Planet display. Not to mention they have Sue the most complete T-Rex, and a titanosaur, AND Antarctic dinos, with artifacts from the ill fated Terra Nova expedition.

But there is so much more, I just put the highlights in this video.

This is my coffee roasting process.
I built a drum roaster from a stainless steel utensil bucket and a Wagner heat gun. Most of the parts are from Home Depot, except the drum. The drum is from one of the kitchen themed stores.

It works pretty good, but there is a lot of chaff when the roasting is done. If you have any ideas on how to eliminate the chaff please comment below.

Looking to document my projects and ideas. My day job requires the use of light and cold statistics to reveal flaws in factory made products. I hope to reverse that mental flow by using light to enhance beauty and the channel to share creative ideas.
