December 1st of 2022, Missouri Senator Bill Eigel's pre-filed SB100 was seen by some as "strange" or even "esoteric." With all that is going on in the world and the state of Missouri, why would anyone file such a bill? And then it happened, first in South Carolina. Other states started to file similar bills, all with the same basic goal, return gold and silver to their rightful constitutional place as money. A total of 23 states had silver/gold legislation in 2023 - starting with Missouri. In 2024, so far we have 19 states working toward silver gold legal tender or in some cases, state depositories. Is it Missouri's vision of a defense mechanism for inflation and the eventual release of the digital dollar that the rest of the states share?

It's been quite the week here in Missouri. Missouri House Speaker (Dean Plocher) has been off the radar for a few weeks as the Missouri Senate optics broadened from the Freedom Caucus filibuster to force IP reform bills into committee to stripping Freedom Caucus Senators from their committee seats and even their parking spaces at the Missouri Capitol. Missouri Senate Pro Tem (Caleb Rowden) has overstepped his authority and his place as Pro Tem and at least 10 Missouri Republican Central Committees are asking him to step down and take Cindy O'Laughlin (Senate Floor Leader) with him. With Caleb Rowden taking the unprecedented step of removing 4 Senators from their committees has everyone scratching their heads because after doing so, he acquiesced to their demands and put ALL IP reform bills in committee.
We'll discuss silver/gold a bit as well tonight, we'll talk about the rally and Knock and Shock on the 30th.

Sometimes folks are curious or outright confounded by all the pork and freedom killing legislation that seems so easily passed. There are 2 obvious ways to achieve this within a governing body. Pork and tyranny are usually buried in bills that are thousands of pages long but can also be found in Christmas tree (omnibus) bills that are passed quickly without vetting, reading or even committee attention. That's how the US government does it and that's how it happens in state government too. Let's talk about the latest Missouri omnibus bill (passed in 2022) that was struck down by the court in Missouri. Then let's talk about 2023's HR11 (the Plocher rules). Let's see if we can put the puzzle together in a way that helps people see that some in the general assembly are for tyranny and larger, bloated government with fascistic overtones.

On the eve of Knock and Shock at the Missouri capitol I think it's appropriate to remind everyone how important it is to get involved. If you want positive change in your state/local government you can try to do it exclusively from your keyboard on social media. Directing folks to call and email elected folks can and does "help" but nothing is as powerful as visiting with an elected official face to face. Most folks who run the first time for school board in their district, have no idea how the school is run from the board. They often "assume" they will have 1/7 of the say in all decisions and that they will have an opportunity to express their point of view and be able to debate topics relevant to the school in the meetings. Sometimes they even think they will be able to participate in public meetings apart from the school board to talk to their constituents about issues that effect the school. This is not true in most cases. The school board should be known as the school "Borg."

The school board for Clever, Missouri's school district has decided to ask voters for $16.4 million (which is the maximum they can currently borrow) for extending their current bond which expires in 2026. This will be on the April 2024 ballot. This will be the first of a series of videos with information about the current financials for Clever with a deep dive into "need" VS "want." The Missouri Liberty Alliance is a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting the following ideals in Missouri's culture and legislature: The US Constitution, The Missouri Constitution, all causes that promote Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness for all Missouri residents including but not limited to: lower taxes, property rights, gun rights, school choice, pro-life, and many more. We do not promote the right/left paradigm, we simply promote Liberty in the spirit of the American founding fathers. Join us on our bold mission to make Missouri a bastion of freedom and to reject political and cultural tyranny from any source with an emphasis on exposing and ending political corruption at all levels in Missouri politics. We also hope to inspire people in other states to start their own Liberty movement.
