Hiroki Matsukata and Sonny Chiba play the leaders of a yakuza clan that's taken over Okinawa, Chiba playing a particularly out of control violent prone maniac while Matsukata is the more level headed one just fresh out of prison. But the reintegration of the territory into Japan leads to many problems for their gang, not just from outside forces but from within. A newcomer played by Tsunehiko Watase (brother of Japanese action star Tetsuya Watari) soon rises up as Matsukata's right hand man.

A yakuza (played by Hiroki Matsukata) fresh out of prison decides to go straight after refusing an offer from his best friend and future brother in law (played by Akira Kobayashi) to lead the clan but his blackmailing business soon becomes risky due to his own pride and soon it's friend against friend with Kobayashi's right hand man (played by Isao Natsuyagi) doing his dirty work. An early heroic bloodshed effort in the same vein as John Woo's Hong Kong masterpieces, this is a highly underseen yakuza classic waiting to be seen.
