Thong Nai Pan, occasionally referred to as just ‘TNP’, is a pair of beaches in the northeastern corner of Koh Phangan. The two beaches, Ao Thong Nai Pan Yai and Ao Thong Nai Pan Noi, are traveller favourites, with clear water, beautiful white sand and a great selection of resorts.

Before Koh Phangan was famous for its Full Moon Party, Thong Nai Pan was a quiet beach area with a variety of bungalow resorts, bars and restaurants. Today, it’s kept much of its laid back vibe that made it such a legendary traveller hangout in the first place.

Nai Harn beach is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches in Phuket. Located near the southern tip of the island, it boasts clear turquoise waters and soft white sand that beckons visitors to take a dip or simply relax under the sun.

One of the reasons that Nai Harn beach has remained relatively undeveloped is thanks to the Samnak Song Nai Harn monastery that occupies a large portion of the beachfront land. As a result, there is only one accommodation option available on the beach - the Royal Phuket Yacht Club, which is located at the northern end of the beach.

Chiang Mai is 700 km north of Bangkok, set in a verdant valley on the banks of the Ping River. The city was founded in 1296 as the capital of the ancient Lanna Kingdom and it still proudly wears its distinctive culture and long history for all to see. However, it's now a place where the past and the present seamlessly merge with modern buildings standing side by side with venerable temples. Despite its relatively small size, Chiang Mai truly has it all.

Lovely, laid-back Khao Lak is one of Thailand’s most appealing beach destinations. This stretch of coastline hasn’t witnessed the same level of development seen in nearby Phuket or Krabi and consequently Khao Lak enjoys a more genteel atmosphere. Tourists arriving here in search of exciting nightlife are barking up the wrong palm tree.

Lamai Beach is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Koh Samui, Thailand. It is located on the east coast of the island and is known for its beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. The beach stretches for about 4 kilometers and offers a picturesque setting for sunbathing and swimming. One interesting fact about Lamai Beach is that it is divided into two main sections: the northern end is quieter and more relaxed, while the southern end is livelier with numerous bars, restaurants, and nightlife options. This makes Lamai Beach a versatile destination that caters to both those seeking peace and quiet as well as those looking for a party atmosphere.

A couple of decades ago, Laem Mae Phim was a quiet fishing village and a picnic-style resort for Thais with wonderful sandy beaches. Now it has also grown into a Thai home area and a vacation spot for Western, mostly Nordic residents. There is a wide range of apartments of different sizes to suit everyone's preferences.

Mae Phim offers an excellent setting for a beach vacation as well as for longer-term living. The village's own beach is located next to the promenade and is about four kilometers long. In addition, there are many "tourist beaches" where, in addition to sunbathing and swimming, massages and good restaurant services are offered.

Mae Phim's pluses are a short distance from the airport, tranquility, the absence of the mild phenomena of mass tourism, an affordable price level, wonderful sandy beaches, sunshine and relatively little rainfall compared to the rest of Thailand.

Chaweng beach is the most popular and best known beach on the island of Koh Samui. The 4 mile long stretch of white sand is also located in what is one of Thailand’s premier holiday resorts and Chaweng certainly lives up to any expectations.

The beach itself is pretty impressive and one of the island’s best; palm fringed with masses of white powdery sand gently sloping down to the pristine turquoise waters of the Gulf of Thailand.
Swimming here is generally pretty safe with the northern end of the beach being sheltered by an offshore reef. There are plenty of opportunities for water sports at Chaweng ranging from the ubiquitous banana boats to snorkeling.

Usually referred to as “Phuket Town”, Phuket City is well worth taking time out from the beach for its shops and markets, its Sino-Portuguese buildings, its temples and its many restaurants.

Most visitors to Phuket head straight for the beach and rightly so, but if you want to take a break from the sand and catch a peek of a more ‘real’ side of the island, then Phuket Town has much to offer. The town is about 30 mins away from Patong by car and is easily reached by tuk tuk if you don’t have your own transportation.

Phuket Town is the largest town in Phuket Province. It has a population of 63,000 and is the economic hub of the island. For the most part just an ordinary, scruffy provincial Thai town, it's hardly a major tourist attraction, but the Chinatown area is worth a quick look and there are some great Thai-style shopping opportunities too. Overall, accommodation and food in the town is cheaper than near the beaches and can provide a refreshing change of pace.

Long Beach is the biggest and most popular of Koh Lanta’s beaches. It’s a 10-minute drive from Saladan village and the ferry port and so easily accessible. Golden soft sand stretches for 3 kilometres and is fringed with tall pine trees.
All of Long Beach’s hotels and restaurants are right next to the beach but not on it, keeping Long Beach unspoiled by development. There’s no rows of deck chairs to negotiate and no beach hawkers trying to sell you stuff.

Koh Lanta Old Town, located on Koh Lanta’s East coast, was once the island’s main port for trade. Now Lanta Old Town is a charming place to visit which looks and feels like it’s stood still in time.

The Old Town has a slow-paced, laid-back vibe with a definite Chinese flavor. You can feel the passing of time as you stroll around and observe the lanterns.

While Old Town is still a fishing community for the inhabitants, a large portion of its trade now comes from low-key tourists, where gift shops sell regional products like genuine leather.

Ubon Ratchathani province features plateaus and mountain ranges with the Mun River running through the middle. The region where Ubon Ratchathani borders both Cambodia and Laos has been coined “the Emerald Triangle” in recognition of its magnificent green landscapes. Adding to Ubon Ratchathani’s natural appeal, Phu Chong Nayoi and Pha Taem national parks are two of Isan’s most unspoiled and unvisited natural preserves. Ubon Ratchathani, the north-east's largest City, is also a wonderful place to witness the annual candle festival, a charming Buddhist celebration.
