This is part two of the G11 course, covering signals processing, timebases, and the 20AX system. I hope those of you who are ex trade folk will enjoy reminiscing, and those of you were not but have a G11 in your collection, will enjoy fully understanding how it circuits function.

Thanks for watching, and please consider visiting our website and forum at www.Radios-Tv.co.uk If you are interested in vintage television, I'm certain you'll find much to interest you there. There is also a tour via picture of my museum and TV/ VCR collection covering 1967 - 1986.

Thanks to Mick (Mick McMichael) & Rich (Slidertogrid) on the Vrat forum. Mick originally had saved a Philips audio Teletutor cassette from 1978. Rich, in response to my forum thread about finding original Trade Video Training tapes, borrowed Mick's cassette and copied it. This was not straight forward, as the physical case had many issues. Therefore, Rich performed a transplant of the tape to a new shell. Rich the copied it a posted one to me.

Upon receipt, I digitised the audio via Audacity. Accompanying the Teletutor tape would have been the course booklet. Upon searching my service data, I was amazed to find I had it!! So using my Video production software imported the audio and then added all the visuals, thus now making a fully featured training experience for the Philips G11.

This is Part one, covering the G11 power supply. Part Two will follow in due course. I hope those of you who are ex trade folk will enjoy reminiscing, and those of you were not but have a G11 in your collection, will enjoy fully understanding how the PSU functions.

Finally, thanks to Mick for having the foresight to keep hold of the tape for almost 50-years and Rich for saving it via shell transplant then sending a copy to me.

After building my signals rack (shown at the end) for the museum, and wiring in the distribution for all the aerial points, a few of the TVs running for a demo. I've almost finished the wiring, and then I can have all areas running all TVs. See how may you can identify in this little batch of 8 out of the 50 in the collection.
