Heavy Metal History:
There would be no such thing as heavy metal if Black Sabbath had never existed. Yes, there were heavy rock bands around at the time Sabbath came into being, most notably colleagues and peers like Cream and Led Zeppelin, but Sabbath laid down the template emulated for the next 50 plus years by countless numbers of young acts around the world, many of whom went on to become stars in their own right.
