This is the story of Steve Johnson, a kind old man who just wanted to live his life and not bother anyone. He has an old school type of charm and he doesn't take any shit from anybody. I actually lived a few miles away from Steve Johnson when these events took place in 2019 - 2020, but I wasn't aware of his story until later on, or else I would have ventured to meet the man and offer my support. This is the story of my family and many other Philadelphia families. I grew up hearing how my grandparents fled areas like West Philadelphia, North Philadelphia and Chester. They all made their way to Delaware County in the 1950s and 1960s, but the troublesome neighbors eventually followed them into the newly created majority White suburbs in Delaware County. Today there are towns along Chester Pike like Darby, Sharon Hill, Folcroft and all the way down the line to Chester that have been transformed into either majority Black or fast becoming minority-White. Of course there are still relatively nice areas that remain in Delaware County. I'm just telling the story that I know.
Just some recent scenes from my modest little homestead.
I cycle my chicken manure and old pine shaving bedding into compost, mixed with food scraps and grass clippings. I even allow the chickens to peck and sift through my compost piles as a way to naturally aerate the compost. Although I do manually move the compost from bin to bin each week in order to add more water, more greens (nitrogen) for fuel and aerate the pile.
I use the fish and algae waste from the small pond to hand water my garden beds each day. Its a good way to use their waste and to also clean the pond of excess waste to improve the water quality.
I've really been getting into growing various types of winter squash, growing them up arched cattle-panel trellises for a cool effect of squash hanging down from the trellis tunnel. Winter squash store really well for several months, which is why they are called "Winter" squash, because they are meant to sustain you over course of the winter months.
The repetitive laborious tasks every day take about 2-3 hours of my time each day, which I perform before and after my day job. It can be quite exhausting, but also provides me with a sense of fulfillment and clarity of purpose. I always have something to look forward to, as growing and raising food requires a lot of planning and preparation based on each season. I live in a mountainous area that experiences the four seasons. After years of living in concrete boxes in the city, I feel a lot more at peace living close to nature. Its the natural state of being that a lot of our ancestors lived for millennia.
I've had lots of trial and error over the last few years that I've been gardening, but I hope that this snapshot of my garden can help to inspire you and provide you with ideas for your own gardens.

This is just a short preview of a larger piece I've been working on, looking back at the future that was imagined long ago and the pursuit to reclaim our destiny in the here and now.

The host of NAL is Josh Neal. I believe his online presence is fairly limited at the moment (or else I would share links to his social media/work) after being doxxed a few years ago. I used to live in Canoga Park, a 3rd world hellhole of a town in the San Fernando Valley, part of the suburban sprawl that spread out from the city of Los Angeles. The guy that created this video did a good job showcasing the town for all its charm and exotic flavor.

In the current day, when conservative or moderate Whites speak about the downfall of Detroit, they usually explain it using tropes like Democrat policies, powerful corrupt unions and outsourcing of industry to cheaper labor markets abroad. However, the real reason for the fall was that our people were ethnically cleansed from Detroit at a time when it still had a prosperous economy. White businesses and homes were targeted by Black mobs for vandalism, theft and arson. Black small business owners would spray-paint the words "Black-owned" outside their stores in an attempt to dissuade the Black mobs from destroying their stores and instead target the White-owned businesses and White neighborhoods. As more and more Whites left Detroit, the city declined, because the people who had built it were no longer there to maintain it and pass it on to their descendants.
The “Southland” refers to the towns/communities surrounding the city of Los Angeles. It was a White paradise for decades. Cities like Compton were once made up of majority White neighborhoods that were safe and affordable to working class White families. The Watts riots in 1965 was a major catalyst in White families, businesses and colleges fleeing South Los Angeles in the immediate aftermath.
