Elite Dangerous is revamping its galactic power struggle mechanic with Powerplay Version 2 (v2), also sometimes called Powerplay 2.0. Here's a breakdown of the changes and how they might affect players:
Core Changes
More Meaningful Contribution: Powerplay v2 aims to make most activities in Elite Dangerous contribute to your chosen Power's goals. This could mean trading, combat, or exploration, all feeding into the galactic power struggle.
Visual Impact: The new system will offer a clearer view of the galactic landscape. You'll see how your Power is faring and how your contributions are impacting the struggle. Systems will have visual indicators of their control state (Exploited, Fortified, Stronghold).
Strategic Expansion: Powerplay v2 focuses on methodical territorial control. Players will help their Power expand by fortifying existing systems, pushing influence into new ones, and directly contesting rival Powers.

If you assume that the word “supercruise” in Elite: Dangerous means “something that makes your ship go fast,” you’d be correct as fast as a Roadrunner being chased by a coyote! . But what if you could make your ship go faster? That question is now answerable thanks to the Elite Dangerous most recent patch, which has introduced a supercruise overcharge function for players to make use of and I have strapped it to a Dolphin FOR SCIENCE.
This new module is available only for C-rated frame drives and found at some of the more technologically advanced locations around the galaxy, but it looks like it does precisely what one would assume, granting ships fielding the module a significant boost while in supercruise. However, as one Redditor demonstrates, engaging the feature comes at a significant cost in terms of fuel usage and ship heat, so use wisely, if at all.

SUPER CRUISE OVERCHARGE:
New Rating C Frame Shift Drive modules will be available. They can be found at a number of Outfitting services, especially in more technologically advanced markets, and these will introduce a new functionality: Super Cruise Overcharge.
ISSUE TRACKER:
Fixed being unable to add an experimental effect to pre-engineered 5A FSD modules (Issue ID 63452)
Fixed mission icon not displaying on commodity markets for Delivery missions (Issue ID 63464)
Added support for hardware with up to 128 buttons that is registered as an input device (Issue ID 1763)
Fixed Reboot/Restore missions sending players to an already online settlement (Issue ID 57596)
Known Issue: We are aware of issues with the revenant variant of this mission spawning and are currently investigating
THARGOID TITANS
Adjustments to Titan threat calculation which resulted in the torus move not behaving correctly in solo instances.
Fixed exposed text strings for Thargoid Spire Collect & Sabotage missions when viewing mission info in cockpit panels.
Adjusted Titan turret projectiles so they should no longer appear to "lag".
Fixed Caustic Sink Launcher HUD indicator not filling up when viewed in Gunner role whilst in the multi crew.
Minor fixes to Night Vision whilst in Titans' inner clouds whilst in multicrew.
Performance improvements during multiplayer scenarios when the transition into meltdown happens after the core has been destroyed for the final heart.
Fixed "FSD Failure, Drop Imminent" being spammed for multi-crew passengers when dropping into Titan instances.
Updated Brazilian (Portuguese) translation for Titan Drive Component to be more reflective of the item.
Fixed backface culling on the target schematic for the Launch Tube Membrane Residue on Titans.
