The highest, most direct and most authentic form of meditation available in any legitimate system of sadhana (systematic spiritual practice) is bhakti-dhyana, or meditation in devotional-consciousness. In this special livestream event, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya will be commenting upon several verses from the esoteric scripture known as the Parama-Samhita Pancharatra, in which the process of meditation with devotion is systematically revealed.

“Of all forms of worship, that which is rendered by the mind is the highest. If the mind is not purified by devotion, the act of worship brings no result.” (Parama-Samhita Pancharatra, 4.70-71A)

“Meditation with love is what is understood to be bhakti. Worship offered without loving devotion is as good as not having offered at all. Loving devotion is regarded as consisting of eight integral parts. This is especially true regarding devotion to Lord Vishnu, by attaining to which (Vishnubhakti), one gains the supreme siddhi (perfection) quickly. The eight integral parts of devotion are: (1) The daily worship of God. (2) The preservation of the rules of the sangha (community). (3) Love toward the devotees of Lord Vishnu (4) Great enthusiasm for the worship of Lord Vishnu. (5) Determination in the performance of worship. (6) Eagerness to hear divine stories relating to Lord Vishnu. (7) Absence of the desire to harm others. Finally, (8) not making a materialistic business out of the worship of Lord Vishnu. These make up the eight features of bhakti as seen in man.” (Parama-Samhita Pancharatra, 4.71B-75)

One of the many misunderstood aspects of Sanatana Dharma is the precise nature and meaning of what is called the Tri-Murti, the three divinities of Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. For over two-hundred years now, unreliable and biased Christian sources had claimed that these three beings were considered to be the three highest gods (a "trinity") of "Hinduism". In this important livestream event, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya finally lays this Christian-inspired myth to rest as he explains to us the actual nature of the Tri-Murti in accordance with the Vedic scriptures.

“The first purushas (personalities) are Brahma, Siva and Vishnu. Among them Vishnu stands the highest (1) because of His sattvic activities, (2) because of His protection of the universe, and (3) by His capacity to bestow the highest bliss (apavarga). In this manner He is superior to the other two.” (Parama-Samhita Pancharatra, 2.94-95)

“As being the cause of all that is good He is called Purushottama (the Supreme Person). Eternal well-being and worldly prosperity alike are declared to be sourced in Narayana Himself.” (Parama-Samhita Pancharatra, 2.96)

“Lord Narayana said: It is Me alone that all men please by sacrifices of all kinds. It is again Me that the yogis, who are masters of their senses, contemplate, praise in prayers and worship in devotion. It is Me again that the Upanishads, of all the branches of the Vedas, discuss.” (Parama-Samhita Pancharatra, 2.108-109)

“Being in all the worlds as their Soul, I am the Supreme Soul, controlling all. All the worlds exist in Me. I am therefore the Lord of all.” (Parama-Samhita Pancharatra, 2.110)

The Pancharatra literature is a genre of sacred Vedic texts that has been very scarcely read (or understood!) by the vast majority of even serious followers of Sanatana Dharma. Traditionally consisting of 108 difference texts, one of the more important of the esoteric Pancharatra works is known as the Parama-Samhita. In this remarkable livestream discourse, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya will share with us and comment upon only a few of the gem-like verses from this ancient text, dealing specifically with the three modes of worshiping the Supreme Lord Sri Vishnu.

“Liberation is unparallelled happiness; without sorrow, without end. Therefore, for gaining liberation worship Vasudeva. Do so without indifference, without desire for prosperity, and whole heartedly. There are three modes of worshipping Him; by deeds, by words and by thought.” (Parama-Samhita Pancharatra, 3.22-23)

“These three modes of worship result in greater and greater good, respectively. Offering healing oils, flowers and things accepted by the good as being pure, and with authorised mantras is described as sacrifice by deed (karma yagna). Being pure and becoming calm, as well as the recitation of prayers and mantras with devotion constitute sacrifice by word.” (Parama-Samhita Pancharatra, 3.24-26)

“Offering up the essence of one’s very self, and worship offered according to prescription of the Shastras by exclusively mental means is declared to be worship by the mind O Brahma! Each of these is regarded as of three kinds of worship according to the power it calls forth.” (Parama-Samhita Pancharatra, 3.27)

Sanatana Dharma is a philosophy and culture that very clearly teaches us to be strong, to be courageous, to stand up and fight for that which is right and good. Despite this fact, there are still some people who believe the false stereotype about our sacred tradition that we are taught to be meek and passive in life. In this powerful talk, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya teaches us that cowardly weakness is not tolerated in the Vedic tradition. This is true in both the spiritual and worldly domains. Rather, as Lord Krishna makes abundantly clear in the Bhagavad Gita and elsewhere, we are called upon to stand and fight!

“The material body of the indestructible, immeasurable and eternal living entity is sure to come to an end; therefore, fight, O descendant of Bharata.” (2.18)

“Do thou fight for the sake of fighting, without considering happiness or distress, loss or gain, victory or defeat – and by so doing you shall never incur sin.” (Bhagavad Gita, 2.38)

“Therefore, O Arjuna, surrendering all your works unto Me, with full knowledge of Me, without desires for profit, with no claims to proprietorship, and free from lethargy, fight.” (Bhagavad Gita, 3.30)

“Therefore the doubts which have arisen in your heart out of ignorance should be slashed by the weapon of knowledge. Armed with yoga, O Bhārata, stand and fight.” (Bhagavad Gita, 4.42)

“Therefore, Arjuna, you should always think of Me and at the same time carry out your prescribed duty of fighting. With your activities dedicated to Me and your mind and intelligence fixed on Me, you will attain Me without doubt.” (Bhagavad Gita, 8.7)

“Simply fight, and you will vanquish your enemies in battle.” (Bhagavad Gita, 11.34)

Eating garlic, mushrooms and onions is generally avoided by serious Vedic practitioners, Vaishnavas and yogis. However, as Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya explains in this short video, these items are not avoided because the Vedic scriptures somehow consider eating them to be a "sin". Rather, it is helpful to avoid all rajasic (passion producing) and tamasic (lethargy producing) foods and behaviors if one wants to make rapid spiritual progress.

Our present era, known as the Kali Yuga, is the most degraded of all ages. It an age of degeneracy, ignorance, conflict and adharma (the opposite of Dharma). Despite the harsh conditions of our present age, however, Lord Sriman Narayana has mercifully provided us with several sure means by which we can still achieve spiritual liberation. Among these is reciting the Vedic mantra:

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

This important mantra is revealed in the Kali Santarana Upanishad. In this unprecedented livestream special, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya will comment on the entire Kali Santarana Upanishad.

“At the end of the Dvapara [Yuga] Narada went to Brahma and addressed him thus; ‘O Lord, how shall I, roaming over the earth be able to overcome the effects of Kali [Yuga]?’ Brahma replied thus; ‘You have asked well. Listen to that which all the Vedas keep secret and hidden, through which one may cross the ocean of mundane existence (samsara) during Kali [Yuga]. It is through the mere recitation of the names of the Primeval Personality of Godhead - Lord NARAYANA, that one transcends the evil effects of the Kali Yuga.’ Narada asked again: ‘What are those names?’ Brahma (Hiranyagarbha) replied: ‘Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare’.” (Kali Santarana Upanishad, 1)

“’These sixteen names destroy the negative effects of Kali. No better means (upaya) than this is to be had in all the Vedas. These sixteen names destroy the 16 envelopments (kala) in which the jiva is enveloped (avarana). Then, like the Sun which shines forth once the clouds are dispersed, Parabrahman alone radiates forth’." (Kali Santarana Upanishad, 2)

“Again Narada asked; ‘O Lord what are the regulations (vidhi) to be observed?’ Brahma replied: ‘There are no regulations. Whoever in a pure or impure state chants these names always, attains the same world (salokya), proximity to (samipya),..
