Johnny Depp’s legal team have shown a video they say was provided by an “anonymous source” which shows Amber Heard “attacked” her sister, London’s High Court has heard.

On Friday, lawyer for Depp, 57, David Sherbourne, told the court his team had received a video from a “confidential source” that made up part of the out-takes of a reality television show.

The video shows Heard’s sister, Whitney Henriquez, poolside with two friends being asked by one if she “got into a fight or something?” as the woman appears to inspect her cheek and arm.

Amber Heard sometimes had bruises and burns on her arm as well as marks on her face during her four-year relationship with Johnny Depp, her younger sister has told the high court in London.

Whitney Henriquez said the Pirates of the Caribbean star was “incredibly jealous and possessive” and would get “paranoid”, often smashing or destroying Heard’s mobile. “She was constantly getting new phones because Johnny would trash [them].”

Depp, 57, is suing the Sun’s publisher, News Group Newspapers, and its executive editor, Dan Wootton, over an article that called him a “wife beater” and referred to “overwhelming evidence” that he had attacked Heard. Depp denies ever hitting Heard, 34, who has submitted details of 14 occasions during their relationship when she claims he assaulted her.

The actor and producer, 57, and his A-list cast will reportedly stay in VIP Winnebago trailers so they can work through scenes in a bubble and protect the crew from catching coronavirus.

Mission Impossible 7's release has been delayed from July 2021 to November 19, 2021, after the coronavirus pandemic forced the film to relocate from Venice to the UK, and eventually halt production indefinitely.

Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan have released a new trailer for the highly anticipated Tenet. The trailer originally premiered in the popular Fortnite video game in their new outdoor theater. While many people thought the pairing of Nolan and a video game was strange, one of the co-creators of the game thought differently. Donald Mustard says that the director reached out to him about premiering the trailer within the game since it was a unique opportunity. Plus, Nolan can't get the trailer in theaters since they're all shut down at the moment.

One of the longest, strangest wars between fandom and a media giant recently resulted in a victory for the fandom when Warner Bros. announced that they will be releasing Zack Snyder's original cut for 2017's Justice League as an HBO Max four-hour special.

We now know what the first new movie to arrive in U.S. theaters this summer will be. Solstice Studios has revealed that Unhinged, a new thriller starring Russell Crowe, is slated to be released on July 1. While some movies such as The Wretched and Spaceship Earth have had limited releases at drive-ins during recent weeks, this is now expected to be the first new wide release since theaters were forced to close down in mid-March.

“Unhinged” boasts a terrific trailer, but nobody would have picked this unassuming low-budget genre effort to be the first post-pandemic major new release of 2020. Newbie theatrical distributor Solstice Studios is making a bold move with its debut release: The company is opening this $33-million psychological thriller, starring Russell Crowe as a man with serious road rage, on as many available screens as possible on July 1, 2020.

At that time, most theaters will be tentatively ramping up with repertory fare. Why on earth would anyone throw this modest entry — one that looks like prime VOD fodder — into the start of an uncertain return to indoor theatergoing?

The answer is part desperation, part opportunism. No fledgling production or distribution company plans on launching its first new movie during a pandemic. Top Gun 2 is coming! We'll get to see Maverick in theatres earlier than expected!

Get ready to head back to the Danger Zone just a bit sooner, as Paramount Pictures has moved up the release date for Top Gun: Maverick. The highly-anticipated sequel to the Tom Cruise 80s classic was originally set to arrive last year. However, reshoots and production scheduling bumped the movie to this year. Now, impatient fans have been rewarded, as the blockbuster will arrive in theaters a couple of days sooner.

Paramount will now unleash Top Gun 2 on Wednesday, June 24, as opposed to Friday, June 26. This will give the sequel a two-day jump heading into the weekend. Beyond that, it's not precisely clear why the studio decided to shift the date. Either way, it's good news for those who have been waiting more than 30 years to see Maverick back in the pilot's seat. Aside from Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer is set to reprise his role as Iceman as well. Joseph Kosinski, who previously worked with Cruise on Oblivion, in addition to helming Tron: Legacy, is in the director's chair.

All of this was undone in the last jedi removing any feeling of suspense or interest with respect to Reys backstory.
It also raises an even bigger question.. how is Rey so powerful and intuitive with the force??
Without a meaningful explanation to her lineage it appears to be pardon the pun forced.
With the reveal that Rey is nobody her character progression is completely halted, although Luke provides some very limited training there is no real development of her character in episode 8.
Take yourself back to the first time you saw the force awakens and imagine her story Jason Bourne style instead.
After Rey holds the lightsabre for the first time, she engages in combat and her instincts take over defeating storm troopers with ease. She is genuinely shocked, Han and Finn ask her “how did you do that”
