Gold Saucer Sunday continues with my all time favorite GATE, Air Force One. Air Force One combines classic arcade shooter action with Final Fantasy in a fun little package good for a couple thousand MGP. I may not have gotten a perfect score on this particular Air Force One, but it was still a fun little run.

Sunday is Gold Saucer day for the Naked Hrothger. It's the day of the week when I struggle to get all of the challenge log entries completed before my free company's Jackpot buff expires. Naturally, taking on the GATE The Leap of Faith was but one step on the path to finishing out my log.

I have to admit I'm not a fan of Leap of Faith. It's one of the more annoying (and frustrating) GATEs depending on the map you get. Luckily, this particular Leap of Faith was fairly simple.

Watch and enjoy!

Today's idle camera video takes a look at the newest player housing area-The Firmament. Built by players for players, the Firmament was the focus of the last major crafter updated in FFXIV. Masses of players worked tirelessly to build their homes in the midst of Ishgard.

Construction may have ceased in the Firmament on Excalibur, but the workers are still there. Watch as the idle camera profiles the hard workers of the Firmament.

Gangos is the hidden enclave of the Bozjan Resistance, and is the location for the start of the FFXIV Shadowbringers relic weapon quest. Gangos debuted with FFXIV's patch 5.25, and man, was it ever busy! To say the joint was jumpin' is something of an understatement.

How crowded was Gangos? Crowded enough so that just about all you'll see in this idle camera video is masses of people and lots of Roegadyn butts!

La'hee!

Former seat of the Great Ronkan Empire, the forests of the Rak'tika Greatwood are now home to the dark worshipping cultists of The Night's Blessed. The Viera of Fanow guard the secrets of the lost Ronkan Empire in the north.

All while one of the most iconic day time themes in all of Shadowbringers plays.

Akadaemia Anyder is probably one of my favorite FFXIV dungeons. The look and the feel of the dungeon captures the atmosphere of an academic facility being taken over completely by escaped experiments. You've got a sense of wonder and beauty mixed with absolute chaos that is the perfect metaphor for the Shadowbringers expansion.

Come along with me as I run through Akadaemia Anyder as a hapless healer.

The citizens of Eulmore live in a luxurious nightmare. Lord Vauthry and his Sin Eaters control Eulmore with an iron fist clad in velvet. Eulmore's citizens may never want for anything, but only because they ignore the horrors that the city hides.

Even still, Eulmore can be a serene and peaceful place, especially at night.

FFXIV's newest event-Hatching-tide-kicked off on Monday. This year's event includes two chapters, with Chapter Two set to begin on April 5. While most streamers and creators are busy filming videos showing everyone how to blow through the content in the quickest way possible, I though I'd do something a little different. Personally, I think it's best if we all just sit back, relax, and enjoy the decorations and event music for Hatching-tide.

What else are you going to do sitting in quarantine anyway?

The main scenario quest Eorzeans love to hate is back! Having penetrated the outer defenses of the Praetorium, broken a few robots, and suffered through Nero's daddy issues, our intrepid hero enters the bowels of the Imperial fortress. All that remains between the Naked Hrothgar and the Ultima Weapon is Gaius van Baelsar, king of the monologue.

Will the Naked Hrothgar succeed in destroying the Ultima Weapon and bringing peace to Eorzea? Will he slit his own wrists out of sheer boredom during a ridiculously long monologue? Find out in The Praetorium - Part 2!

The Crystarium is, without a doubt, one of my favorite hubs in FFXIV. The city serves as the last bastion of civilization in a post-Flood Norvrandt. The Crystarium is constantly in danger of being overrun by Sin Eaters, to say nothing of their tenuous relations with the city of Eulmore. Through it all, however, the citizens of the Crystarium persevere, acting as a shining beacon to all the free people of Norvrandt.

I used FFXIV's Idle Camera function to capture some candid moments of the Crystarium's many citizens out and about during the day. Enjoy!

Home of the massive lake known as The Source-as well as the Crystarium-Lakeland occupies a strategic place as one of the last bastions of civilization in Norvrandt. This aether-rich land represents the last, best hope for Norvrandt to beat back the scourge of the Sin Eaters.

Although Lakeland is bathed in near-perpetual conflict, the land can have a serene beauty in the evening hours. This video is an OST of Lakeland's night time theme, Unchanging, Everchanging.

Little Ladies' Day is that special time of year honoring the women of Eorzea. Seneschals across the land are tasked with making sure no little lady spends the day walking around with a frown on her face. The Royal Seneschal in Uldah, however, has requested the help of none other than the Warrior of Light.

FFXIV players have a love/hate relationship with The Praetorium. On the one hand, the main scenario quest gives a ton of experience while leveling, especially when you do it as part of your daily roulette. On the other hand, the Praetorium is just so freaking long and boring!

Watch as I take you along on one of my recent Praetorium runs.

Life after the Flood is hard for the children of Norvrandt. Sin eaters and the struggle against the elements consume their every waking moment. Luckily, the pixies created Lyhe Mheg as a refuge for the children of Norvrandt. A wondrous dreamscape filled with games, toys, and treats, Lyhe Mheg is a place where a child can laugh and play while forgetting their troubles for a night.

Lyhe Mheg's theme, The Garden's Gates, embodies the care free nature of the land of dreams.

Il Mheg is the legendary home of Norvrandt's fae folk. Il Mheg has gained a reputation as an eerie, some would say foreboding place filled to the brim with mischievous pixies. Honestly, though, the pixies aren't so bad once you get to know them.

Just don't turn your back on them for a second.

Enjoy the relaxing day time theme of Il Mheg-Fierce and Free. I've also included a selection of screenshots that capture the essence of Il Mheg and its inhabitants.
