We had a stand that was just about gone, so we refurbished it, lifted it and decorated it. The stand is on a remote part of our property so we built a garage to park the four wheeler in when its raining. Inspired by my grandfather's duck hunting adventures.

We re-purposed metal roof (that's why the different colors), cut our own cedar timbers on a vintage sawmill, used a homemade ditcher, re-used railroad trestle timbers, and built a 12'x16' greenhouse for approximately $6000.

Pignut hickory germinated before WW2 died last summer. It was competing with an oak & winning in the center of canopy. Used chainsaws and rope saws and a tractor to fall it aways from the kid's fort. Charted the growth rings. Made some beautiful hickory planks.

For entertainment use only. Ignition coil outputs 20-40kV. Sperry contactless meter rated to 600V. The electromagnetic field reaches more than 12" from insulated secondary wire. The input to the coil is 24V but it is intermittent so a digital VOM will not accurately measure.

The motor runs off of wellhead gas.

Lots of ranch activities today! We buzzsaw some firewood and charcoal the chunks. Plant some pole beans, and go back to the sawmill where we find a misalignment problem. This discovery of a sawmill problem shuts down the sawmill.

We are building a greenhouse and will move it to location in 4 lifts. This is the lifting eye connection to walls.

The church pecan trunk was over 30" so Doc & I went in halves on Jesper Moreau's Norwood HD36 bandmill.

Had some free help at the sawmill milling cracked up pecan taken down by an excavator. The ex-pilot runs the mill and a local builder offloads the boards. Sent the flitches to the buzzsaw for smoking operations.

Milled a couple of wild persimmon logs. Camera girl makes persimmon pudding and we eat it. The soothsayer splits some persimmon seeds to glimpse the up coming winter weather. Use buzz saw to make persimmon firewood. Shoot down a wasp nest with a slingshot and sweetgum ball. Take a break from sawmilling and pick and eat some fresh cantaloupe.

Our telephone pole guy wire was close to our driveway and did not have a yellow cover. So we fixed it for $2.50

Was tired of wrestling with the auger when connecting to my tractor. Came up with this fixture to make it easy to hook up.
