RAGNAROK

THE BATTLE OF LONDON BRIDGE

After capturing the treasure from the Franks, Askeladd's men return to the village of Gorm on the Jutland Peninsula in Denmark to pass the winter. Thorfinn challenges Askeladd to a duel as a reward for bringing him the head of the captain of the clan of Franks. Even though Thorfinn has grown in skill through his experience in battle, he is still no match for Askeladd.

Askeladd withdraws temporarily from the war against England. While searching for a new source of income, he encounters a skirmish among the Franks and hatches a plot to steal their treasure. Askeladd sends 16-year-old Thorfinn, who has grown into a cold-hearted Viking, ahead as a messenger.

Askeladd, the leader of a Viking army of a hundred men, receives orders from Floki of the Jomsvikings to kill Thors, who was once known as the Troll of Jom. However, the villagers, completely unaware of the order, buzz with excitement as they prepare for their first battle. Thorfinn also joins in the excitement. Thors and his men are about to embark on a difficult sea journey to England.

In the year 1002, the war between England and Denmark was intensifying. One day, the Jomsvikings pay a visit to Thorfinn's village in order to bring back Thors, their former commander, to prepare for the impending battle. Thors is forced to join the war in order to protect the villagers from being taken hostage, and must face his accursed past in order to save his family and his village.

Thorfinn, a boy living in Iceland, longs for adventure and is eager to know more about the world. He dreams of a land of paradise called Vinland that hears about from the adventurer Leif, while he leads his peaceful life with his father Thors, a former warrior. One day, Thor saves a runaway slave and sets a series of events in motion. This is the story of a true warrior in an age of turmoil.

Thorfinn goes to battle for the first time as a member of Askeladd's army. After witnessing the harsh reality of the war to conquer England first-hand, Thorfinn tries to run away, but later throws himself into battle in order to get revenge for his father by defeating Askeladd. One night, Thorfinn gets wounded in battle, and is saved by a mother and daughter living in a village by the sea.

After Askeladd kills Thorfinn's father Thors, Thorfinn hides inside Thor's ship and bides his time until the opportunity to take revenge. However, life on the ship is harsh without and food or water, and Thorfinn grows weaker day by day. One day, Thorfinn, armed with his sword, attempts to attack Askeladd in his sleep...

Thors and his men fall for Askeladd's trap and face a dangerous situation, but Thors defeats many of Askeladd's men with his overpowering strength. However, Thors knows it will be difficult to save everyone, including his son, who've been living in a peaceful village their entire lives, and makes a tough decision.

Hey, I've been watching anime I watched in the past to see if there was anything I missed when I was younger. I re-watched all of Soul Eater becoming extremely interested in Stein and Medusa as these characters are the most intelligent in the show and have interesting philosophical beliefs that are nice to expand on if you want to. Stein ends up understanding more about the world they are settled in compared to Medusa who is obsessed with destruction and power. Since Stein doesn't follow into the 2 character traits medusa falls into he is able to have a better understanding and be more logical in the end. Anyway, that's all for now, hope whoever watches this can learn something new from the show as I did! Have a good day!

Soul Eater Unreleased OST - Stein's Theme - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbFT3xXjJbs

Soul Eater is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ōkubo. Set at the "Death Weapon Meister Academy", the series revolves around three teams, each consisting of a weapon meister and (at least one) weapon that can transform into a humanoid. Trying to make the latter a "death scythe" and thus fit for use by the academy's headmaster Shinigami, the personification of death, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and one witch, in that order; otherwise, they will have to start all over again.

Who is Franken Stein?
Franken Stein is an eccentric but talented doctor and meister who is known to be the strongest meister to have graduated from Death Weapon Meister Academy and formerly Spirit Albarn's first weapon-partner. He later becomes a teacher at the academy upon Death's request and was later assigned to act as a meister to Marie Mjolnir. He is one of the major supporting character in Soul Eater and a supporting character in Soul Eater NOT!.

Cultural References?
Stein is loosely based upon the two central characters from the 1818 novel by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus and its 1931 movie adaption, being an amalgamation of the mad scientist Victor Frankenstein and his nameless man-made monster. Like Victor Frankenstein, Stein has a mindset in which he wishes to live in a world "without God," setting his own rules rather than following those of some higher power. In addition, Stein also has motifs centered around electricity, similar to that used by Victor Frankenstein in the 1931 movie to give life to the creature. Both his attacks evoke electricity and his current partner has attacks centered around electricity. The screw-in Stein's head resembles the bolts found in the head or neck in many popular portrayals of Frankenstein's monster that all follow the 1931 movie's lead. Stein has more moves than just electricity; he can also use his soul as a shield, as shown when Stein battled Corona. When he battled Medusa, he also uses an attack straight to Medusa's stomach., causing her to nearly die.
