Did some recent experiments with a DS3 controller and the FireShock driver. After playing with the source code a bit, input performance is now slightly better than a wired DS4 in DS4Windows. Using the same user-mode driver approach for the DS4 or maybe the DualSense might be worthwhile in the future.

The game is borderline unplayable on my potato system even without OBS running. Overall, I think I like Quake Live better. Having to connect to a server just to play against bots is a bad idea. Who wants online lag when practicing against bots?

This video shows a mixed input (XInput + RS mouse) profile being used in DS4Windows to play Doom 3 BFG with a DS4 controller. With the changes that will appear in version 2.0.11, mapping a Linear curve for a stick mouse binding is actually usable. Enhanced Precision has been loosened a bit since the last release but it is now much less needed.
