The original of this beautiful song has 13M+ views. I had it in a Playlist; but the volume was too low compared to the other songs, so I decided to increase the volume. As long as I was doing that, I decided to add the lyrics to the video.

The original, with 7-year-old Veronica W. and guitarist Ben Bross, is here:

LYRICS:

I heard there was a secret chord
That David played and he pleased the Lord
But you don’t really know that music do ya
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth,
The minor fall and the major lift
The King of old composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

I know that there’s a God above
There’s evidence in all the love
Creation is enough to prove it to ya
And when He says there’s day from night,
And then He commanded let there be Light
And every breath He drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

The angels sang at the Saviour’s birth
Its echo still heard around the earth
The beauty and the Spirit says He knew you
The babe was brought with so much care
Below all things, but God was there
And from your lips He drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

What a beautiful song with wonderful lyrics depicting why Jesus came to save all who would come to Him. He said to pick up our own personal crosses and follow Him in many places in Scriptures.

BeSureYouAreSaved.com

LYRICS:
It's not just about the manger
Where the baby lay
It's not all about the angels
Who sang for him that day
It's not all about the shepherds
Or the bright and shining star
It's not all about the wise-men
Who traveled from afar

It's about the cross
It's about my sin
It's about how Jesus came to be born once
So that we could be born again
It's about the stone
That was rolled away
So that you and I could have real life someday
It's about the cross

It's not just about the good things
In this life I’ve done
It's not all about the treasures
Or the trophies that I’ve won
It’s not about the righteousness
That I find within
It’s all about His precious blood
That saved me from my sin

It's about the cross
It's about my sin
It's about how Jesus came to be born once
So that we could be born again
It's about the stone
That was rolled away
So that you and I could have real life someday
It's about the cross

The beginning of the story
Is wonderful and great
But it's the ending that can save you
And that's why we celebrate

It's about the cross
It's about my sin
It's about how Jesus came to be born once
So that we could be born again
It's about God's Son
Nailed to a tree
It's about every drop of blood that flowed from Him
When it should have been me

It's about the stone
That was rolled away
So that you and I could have real life someday
So that you and I could have real life someday

It's about the cross
It's about the cross
It's about the cross
-------------------------
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. (Luke 9:23)

What a sweet country song to remind us of all the blessings the Lord God Almighty has given us and the beauty of all His creations.

It also reminds of what Scripture says about disbelief in God:

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God…" (Ps 14:1)

LYRICS

Have you ever wondered why the sky is blue?
Have you ever felt the morning dew?

Have you ever wondered why the grass is green?
And why a sunset can bring you peace?

God did that and I don’t know why
He filled the oceans and made the deserts dry

God did that and I believe it’s true
Who am I to ask, God did that

A new born baby cries out
The Mississippi river flows south

Sometimes it rains on a sunny day
And a sunrise makes the darkness go away

Well God did that and I don’t know why
He filled the oceans and made the deserts dry

God did that and I believe it’s true
Who am I to ask, God did that

Who would grow a tree, just to build a cross?
And send his Son to die so I wouldn’t be lost

God did that, I don’t know why
He filled the oceans and made the deserts dry

God did that, I believe it’s true

Who am I to ask, ‘cause God did that

Who am I to ask, God did that

And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. (Gen 1:9)

This is one of the most powerful voices I’ve ever heard, and "Come Jesus Come" is one of the most gripping songs I’ve heard in a very long time.

I’m relatively sure most will see this song as being about the return of our Lord Jesus Christ at His second coming. Personally, as a narrow way walker, I see this song as twofold.

I was completely taken by it as a cry for Jesus to come and reveal Himself to all who entered, in truth, at the strait gate and walked the narrow way that leadeth unto eternal life at the end of the road. (Mt 7:14)

LYRICS:

Sometimes I fall to my knees and pray
Come Jesus come Let today be the day
Sometimes I feel like I’m gonna break
But I’m holding on to a hope that won’t fade

Come Jesus Come we’ve been waiting so long
For the day you return to heal every hurt and right every wrong
We need you right now Come and turn this around
Deep down I know this world isn’t home
Come Jesus come
Come Jesus come

There’ll be no war and there’ll be no chains
When Jesus comes let today be the day
He’ll come for the weak and the strong just the same
And all will believe in the power of His name

Come Jesus Come we’ve been waiting so long
For the day You return to heal every hurt and right every wrong
We need you right now come and turn this around
Deep down I know this world isn’t home
Come Jesus come
Come Jesus come

One day He’ll come, and we’ll stand face to face
Come and lay it all down, cause it might be today
The time is right now, there’s no need to wait
Your past will be washed by rivers of grace

Come Jesus Come we’ve been waiting so long
For the day You return to heal every hurt and right every wrong
We need you right now come and turn this around
Deep down I know this world isn’t home
Come Jesus come
Come Jesus come
Come Jesus come
Come,
Come Jesus come

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; (Titus 2:13)

I came across another song that moved me. At 79 years old Vivian Lee James still has an amazing voice. This song speaks to the one problem mankind has and needs to resolve; the heart. (Jer 17:9; Luke 4:18)

We need to be reconciled back to God via a new heart at the revelation of Jesus Christ and rebirth, which occurs at the end of the narrow way. (2Cor 5:18-20) (Matt 7:13-14) (John 3:3-7)

This is the songwriter’s description of the song:
This will forever be one of my favorite worship moments! Vivian Lee James is 79 years old and loves JESUS with her WHOLE HEART. I was honored to write and record this song with her and my friend @curtvernonmusic3981 Vivian was a singer and recording artist in New York over 6 decades ago, performing in such places as the Apollo, but now she sings for JESUS. She is one of the most joyful people I have ever met!

LYRICS:

Everything I am and all I’m not
You can have it all every part
It feels like it’s not enough
But all of me is all you want

So I give you my whole, whole heart
Lord I give you my whole, whole heart
I give you my whole, whole heart
My whole heart, my whole heart

Everywhere I’ve been and where I’ll go
I’ll walk with you down life’s narrow road
It feels like it’s not enough
But all of me is all you want

So I give you my whole, whole heart
Lord I give you my whole, whole heart
I give you my whole, whole heart
My whole heart, my whole heart

Your word says you will never leave
To the very end you’ll be with me
It feels like you gave too much
But on the cross you showed your love

And you gave me Your whole, whole heart
Lord you gave me Your whole, whole heart
You gave me Your whole, whole heart
Your whole heart, Your whole heart

So I give you my whole, whole heart
I give you my whole, whole heart
Lord I give you my whole, whole heart
My whole heart, my whole heart

Came across another song I’d never heard until very recently and fell in love with it. What a blessing…

Such a wonderful reminder of the importance and need I have for my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ every single day.
Without Him I can do nothing. And actually, if it weren’t for the Lord I wouldn’t be alive today.

He has saved me from myself on many an occasion throughout my life. He was always there watching over me…

LYRICS

Every time I try to make it on my own
Every time I try to stand and start to fall
And all those lonely roads that I have traveled on
There was Jesus

When the life I built came crashin’ to the ground
When the friends I had were nowhere to be found
I couldn't see it then but I can see it now
There was Jesus

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, and the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces

Every minute, every moment
Where I've been and where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
Or couldn't see it
There was Jesus

For this man who needs amazing kind of grace
Forgiveness at a price I couldn't pay
I'm not perfect so I thank God every day
There was Jesus
There was Jesus

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, and the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces

Every minute, every moment
Where I've been and where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
Or couldn't see it

There was Jesus
On the mountain
In the valleys

There was Jesus

In the shadows of the alleys

There was Jesus

In the fire and in the flood

There was Jesus

Always is and always was

No, I never walk alone
Never walk alone
You're always there

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing and the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces

Every minute, every moment
Where I've been or where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
Or couldn't see it
There was Jesus
There was Jesus

There was Jesus

There was Jesus

Another beautiful song seemingly related to the walk of the narrow way; the only way Jesus gave us to attain true authentic salvation. (Matthew 7:14)

A big thank you to my dear old friend Scubie for reminding me of the song and a special thanks to our friend Arthur James for bringing it to our attention in the first place long, long ago…

LYRICS:

City lights shine on the harbour,
Night has fallen down,
Through the darkness
And the shadow
I will still go on.

Long, long journey
Through the darkness,
Long, long way to go,
But what are miles
Across the ocean
To the heart that’s coming home?

Where the road
Runs through the valley,
Where the river flows,
I will follow every highway
To the place I know.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Ps 23:4)

This song, sung by the late great Sam Cooke, written in 1908 reminds me of “The Walk” of the narrow way, especially when you read the song’s lyrics in their entirety (see below). They speak of the struggle and the search required to find our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Lyrics
If I walk in the pathway of duty
If I work ‘til the close of the day, Lord
I shall see the great King in all his beauty
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way, Lord, yes sir

When I’ve gone the last mile of the way, oh yeah
I shall rest at the close of day
For I know there is joy awaiting
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way

If I were, for Christ to proclaim the glad story, oh Lord
If I see for his sheep who’ve gone astray, oh Lord
I am sure he will show me in his glory
When I've gone the last mile of the way, Lord, yes sir

When I’ve gone the last mile of the way, oh yes
I shall rest at the close of day, oh yeah
For I know, there is joy awaiting
When I've gone the last mile of the way

_____________________________ Additional Lyrics Not in Sam Cooke's Rendition:

Here the dearest of ties we must sever,
Tears of sorrow are seen every day;
But no sickness, no sighing forever,
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way.

And if here I have earnestly striven,
And have tried all His will to obey,
’Twill enhance all the rapture of heaven,
When I’ve gone the last mile of the way.

This is one of the most unique, touching and beautiful songs I’ve ever heard about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It made me cry the first time I heard it and it still takes my breath away.

Putting this together was a true labor of love for me, as I occupy the time waiting for the revelation of Jesus Christ. I thank God for leading me to it and through it, and now allowing me to share it.

LYRICS:
Hagar was a single mother
She was abandoned by the family she belonged to
And there in the wilderness with her son alone
With very little provision

She was wondering
She was questioning
Does anyone care?

She's cryin’ in the desert
She's lost in her despair
She thinks nobody loves her
Hagar thinks nobody's there

But God says
I will be a ring of fire around her
And I will be the glory in her midst
And the power of my presence
Will bring her to her knees

And I will lift her up again
For I'm the God who sees
I'm the God who sees
Oh, O

Then He speaks in gentle whispers
And He softly calls her name
She feels His arms enfold her
As He holds her
And she'll never be the same

'Cause I'm the God who never changes
And my promises are true
And when this world deserts you
This is what I'll do

And then there was another woman named Ruth
She was from the land of Moab and
She was met with grief, and heartache
She was a widow
And she lived with her mother-in-law
Who was also a widow
And now it was time to move on

But Ruth had never been to Bethlehem
She had never tasted of the house of bread
But now she had heard an inner invitation
to come and taste and see

And so she vowed herself to her mother-in-law and said
Where you go, I will go
Where you lie, I will lie
Where you die, I will die
And she begins a journey
to the promise land

She's travelin’ through the desert
And she's leaving her despair
She's hoping for a future
Praying God will lead her there

And He says
I will put a ring around your finger
And I will bless a child within your womb
And the Saviour will be born through you
To free the world from sin
And He'll make all things new for you
And love ya back to life again,
Again

And then from Ruth
Who gave birth to a son, Obed
Who gave birth to a son, Jesse
Who gave birth to a son named David

Now this same once shepherd boy,
Mighty warrior
Anointed king is alone
Terrified in the darkness

He's hiding in the desert
He's battling despair
David thinks his life is over, it's over
And God, He doesn't care

But God says
I will be the rock of your salvation
I'll hold you up, by the strength of my right hand

And the power of my Spirit
Will free you from all fear
In the hour of your deepest need
You'll find that I am near
I am here

'Cause I will be a ring of fire around you
And I will be the glory in your midst
And the power of my presence
Will bring you to your knees
And I will lift you up again
For I'm the God who sees

And then from the line of David, finally
Jesus, The Messiah,
The Anointed One,
Yeshua, The Christ

Born in the same house of

What an amazing song, especially when you look at what is going on in the world today! The lyrics to this song are perfect for what I see, as I WATCH everything around me, just as Jesus commanded us all to do.

Bible prophecy is being fulfilled right before our very eyes and so few are able or willing to see it.

LYRICS:

You can see it in the movies and the paper and the TV news
Somebody's army is always on the move
There's gonna be a battle the lines have been drawn
They've got guns and tanks and planes

The wells have gone dry and the water is bad and the air is acid rain
There's war after war and rumors of war from the East
There's a rumblin' in the ground and they're talkin' about the beast

Good mothers cry ‘cause the rivers run high
With the blood of too many sons
Some people say peace is on the way
But the worst is still to come

‘Cause the prophets wrote about it
And Jesus spoke about it
And John got to take a look
And he told us what he saw and it's easy to see
It's goin' by the book
It's goin' by the book

There's armies in the cities and the missiles stand ready for flight
A pale horse rides like the wind across the night
And that rumblin' in the desert like thunder gettin' closer
Are the trumpet's gettin' ready to blow
There's gonna be a shout that will wake the dead we better be ready to go

‘Cause the prophets wrote about it
And Jesus spoke about it
And John got to take a look
And he told us what he saw and it's easy to see
It's goin' by the book
It's goin' by the book

It's goin' by the book
It’s Goin' by the book
It's goin' by the book
It’s Goin' by the book...

And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. (Mark 13:37)

I fell in love with this song, Stand by Me, when I heard it the first time. While this song is simple in its production, it is beautiful and speaks volumes about the narrow way; how the search for Jesus and His salvation is not an altar call experience, nor "saying a sincere sinner's prayer," nor following some "ABCs of salvation." It's a BATTLE for one's soul.

LYRICS:

When the storms of life are raging, stand by me.
When the storms of life are raging, stand by me.
When the world is tossing me, like a ship upon the sea,
thou who rulest wind and water, stand by me.

In the midst of tribulation, stand by me.
In the midst of tribulation, stand by me.
When the hosts of hell assail, and my strength begins to fail,
thou who never lost a battle, stand by me.

In the midst of faults and failures, stand by me.
In the midst of faults and failures, stand by me.
When I’ve done the best I can, and my friends misunderstand,
thou who knowest all about me, stand by me.

When I'm growing old and feeble, stand by me.
When I'm growing old and feeble, stand by me.
When my life becomes a burden, and I'm nearing chilly Jordan,
O thou Lily of the Valley, stand by me.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. (1Tim 6:12)

Some time after getting my life back on track in the mid-seventies, I came across this song. It appealed to me on a couple of different levels. I was restless, searching for truth and the reason for my being, for my existence here on earth.

LYRICS:
Said I'm scared, Lord, I'm scared, I'm terrified
Never been much on religion
But I sure 'nuff would like to hear the call
I'm scared lordy Lord, I'm shakin' I'm petrified
Never been much on religion but I sure 'nuff
Just fell down on my knees

Heard the choir singin’ somethin’ about goodwill toward men
And even sleepin' in heavenly peace
Stopped by to see Saint Thomas
On a cold and dreary New York afternoon
Something in the air was oh, so rare
I don't know what it was but I know that it's still right there

And I'm scared lordy Lord
I'm shaken I'm terrified
Never been much on religion but I sure 'nuff
Just fell down on my knees

Livin' in confusion, searchin' for truth that I never found
I needed somethin' to really believe
Looked toward the heavens on a dark and stormy winter afternoon
Something in the air was oh so rare
I'm not really sure what it was
But I know for sure that it's still right there

And I'm scared,
hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
I'm terrified
Never been much on religion
But I sure 'nuff just fell down on my knees
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

I'm scared, you know I'm shakin',
I'm layin' awake thinking about it now I'm terrified
Never been much on religion
But I sure 'nuff would like to hear the call

Common now, give me a sign your listening to me
You hear me talkin', you hear me cryin'
It's confusin' to me Lord, I'm terrified
Never been much on religion but I sure 'nuff
Just fell down on my knees
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

When I became a Christian this was one of the first songs I listened to. I have discovered recently that there are many different versions of this song, but this is the one I remember best.

LYRICS:

Oh Lord my God
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works Thy hand hath made

I see the stars
I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout The universe displayed

And when I think of God, His son not sparing
Sent Him to die,
I scarce can take it in

That on the cross
My burden gladly bearing
He bled and died, To take away my sin

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God to Thee
How great thou art, How great thou art

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God to Thee
How great Thou art, How great Thou art

When Christ shall come
With shout of acclamation
And take me home
What joy shall fill my heart

Then I shall bow
In humble adoration
And then proclaim “My God
How great Thou art!”

And then sings my soul, My Saviour God to Thee
How great Thou art, How great Thou art

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God to Thee
How great Thou art, How great Thou art

How great Thou art, How great Thou art

How great Thou art, How great Thou art

How great Thou art, How great Thou art

Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. (Ps 40:5)

This song reminds me of all the references Jesus made about picking up our own cross and following after him. Not too many people seem to mention that. They almost all say Jesus did it all for us; that picking up our own personal cross would be a work. I see it rather as a commandment directly from our Lord Himself.

LYRICS:

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it someday for a crown.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it someday for a crown.

To the old rugged cross, I will ever be true
Its shame and reproach gladly bear
Then he’ll call me someday, to my home far away
Where His glory forever I’ll share

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

Yes I’ll cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it someday for a crown.

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. (Matt 10:38)

After watching a video of a 70-year-old woman who became a quadriplegic at the age of 17 ["Songs of Suffering"], I was reminded—once again—of just how blessed I am and have been all of my life; how small my problems are in comparison to so many others.

LYRICS - Be Still My Soul

Be still my soul, the Lord is on thy side
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain
Leave to thy God, to order and provide
In every change, He faithful will remain

Be still my soul, thy best, thy heavenly friend
Through thorny ways, leads to a joyful end

Be still my soul, thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as He has the past
Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake
All now mysterious shall be bright at last

Be still my soul, the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below

In you I rest, in you I found my hope
In you I trust, You never let me go
I place my life within your hands alone
Be still my soul

Be still my soul, the hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord
When disappointment, grief and fear are gone
Sorrow forgot, loves purest joys restored

Be still my soul, when change and tears are past
All safe and blessed we shall meet at last

In you I rest, in you I found my hope
In you I trust, you never let me go
I place my life within your hands alone
Be still my soul

In you I rest, in you I found my hope
In you I trust, you never let me go
I place my life within your hands alone
Be still my soul,
Be still my soul,
Be still my soul

LYRICS:

As I went down in the river to pray
Studyin’ about that good ol' way
And who shall wear the starry crown?
Good Lord show me the way, oh…

As I went down in the river to pray
Studying about that good ol' way
And who shall wear the robe & crown?
Good Lord show me the way

O sisters let's go down
Let's go down, come on down
O sisters let's go down
Down in the river to pray
As I went down in the river to pray
Studyin’ about that good ol' way
And who shall wear the starry crown?
Good Lord show me the way!

O brothers let's go down
Let's go down, come on down
O brothers let's go down
Down in the river to pray

Hmmm…Oh…
Come on down
Down in the river to pray
Ooo…Oh, oh…O

O sinners, let's go down
Let's go down, come on down
O sinners, let's go down
Down in the river to pray

As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. (Prov 25:25)

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)
Lyrics

Sharp as glass from a broken bottle
Loud as echoes in an open room
You can’t see it but you sure can feel it
Like shadows comin’ over you

As clear as the ocean water
As bright as the summer’s blue
You put my dreams in color
I can’t lie cause you’re my truth

And my everything is you
You are my everything
You give me the melody
I sing what you give to me

I’ll be your passenger
I’ll go where you want me to
I’ll let you navigate
Just let me ride with you

I’ll be your passenger
I’ll go where you wanna go
If you show me the way
Just lead and I’ll follow
I’ll follow
I’ll follow

On the days when I’m feeling lonely
Could you shower me with your tears?
And paint a rainbow in the sky just for me
Just to let me know you’re still there

Your love is my religion
That’s the only thing that I believe
It’s never hard to make this decision
Everywhere I go I take you with me

My everything is you
You are my everything
You give me the melody
I sing what you give to me
O, oh…
Yea, yea
O, oh, Yea…
O, oh…

I’ll be your passenger
I’ll go where you want me to
I’ll let you navigate
Just let me ride with you

I’ll be your passenger
I’ll go where you wanna go
If you show me the way
Just lead and I’ll follow

Wherever you go I’ll follow you, O…oh
I’ll be your passenger
I’ll do anything to follow you
Wherever you go
I’ll be your passenger, yea yea

I’ll close my eyes and I’ll trust you
Take me wherever you want me to go
And I’ll go there
I’ll go there
Even where the eyes can’t see
As long as you’re with me

I’ll be your passenger
I’ll go where you want me to
I’ll let you navigate
Just let me ride with you

I’ll be your passenger
I’ll go where you wanna go
If you show me the way

Hearing this song reminds me of how I feel when I think about the verses posted below (after the lyrics), as I wait in the lowest room for Jesus to knock at the door and call my name, at the end of my search. (Rev 3:20)
LYRICS:

I can only imagine what it will be like
When I walk by Your side
I can only imagine what my eyes will see
When Your face is before me
I can only imagine
Yeah…

Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You, Jesus
Or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in Your presence
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

I can only imagine when that day comes
And I find myself standing in the Son
I can only imagine
When all I would do is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine, yeah
I can only imagine

Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You, Jesus
Or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in Your presence
Or to my knees, will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine, yeah
I can only imagine

Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You, Jesus
Or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in Your presence
Or to my knees, will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine, yeah
I can only imagine

I can only imagine, yeah
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When all I would do is forever
Forever worship You…

I can only imagine

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; (Titus 2:13)

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; (1Pet 1:13)

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Rev 3:20)

This is my favorite version of this song and I’m still knocking on Heaven’s Door!
LYRICS:

Mama take this badge from me
I can’t use it anymore
It’s getting dark too dark to see
I feel I’m knockin’ on heaven’s door

Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
O, oh…
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door

Mama put my guns in the ground
I can’t shoot them anymore
A cold black cloud is comin’ around
And I feel I’m knockin’ on heaven’s door

Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
Feels like I’m
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
Feels like I’m
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
O, oh…
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door

Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
Feels like I’m
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door

Mama, tell me
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
Feels like I’m
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
O, oh…
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
O, oh…
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door

Feels like I’m
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door
Knock, knock, knockin’ on heaven’s door

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: (Matt 7:7)

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matt 7:8)

The first time I heard this song I thought of my Daddy because his hands were extremely callused from all his manual labor, and then again, it reminds me of the Lord's Discipline.
LYRICS:

I remember daddy's hands
Folded silently in prayer
And reaching out to hold me when I had a nightmare
You could read quite a story in the calluses and lines
Years of work and worry had left their mark behind

I remember daddy's hands
How they held my momma tight
And patted my back for something done right
There are things that I’ve forgotten that I loved about the man
But I'll always remember the love in daddy's hands

Daddy's hands
Were soft and kind when I was cryin’
Daddy's hands
Were hard as steel when I'd done wrong
Daddy's hands
Weren't always gentle but I've come to understand
There was always love in daddy's hands

I remember daddy's hands workin’ til they bled
Sacrificed unselfishly just to keep us all fed
If I could do things over
I'd live my life again
And never take for granted the love in daddy's hands

Daddy's hands
Were soft and kind when I was cryin’
Daddy's hands
Were hard as steel when I'd done wrong
Daddy's hands
Weren't always gentle but I've come to understand
There was always love in daddy's hands

Daddy's hands
Were soft and kind when I was cryin’
Daddy's hands
Were hard as steel when I'd done wrong
Daddy's hands
Weren't always gentle but I've come to understand
There was always love in daddy's hands

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? (Heb 12:9)

A ton of Scripture flooded in as I listened to this sweet voice singing the profound words of this song. In the end it is our last state which God accepts. (Ezek 18:20-24)
LYRICS:
It won't matter about your political views
It won't matter where you sat on the pew
Won't make a difference how much you knew
When it comes down to the end

And it won't matter what kind of car you drove
And it won't matter where you lived on the road
Did you do your best? Did you love your most?
That's what matters in the end

Cuz in the end, there's no rewind
There's no turning back the time
When you leave this world behind
Will they say you were their friend?
That's what matters in the end

It won't matter how many candles lit your cake
And it won't matter if sometimes you slept in late
But if your love didn't overcome your hate
Well, that's what matters in the end

Cuz in the end, there's no rewind
There's no turning back the time
When you leave this world behind
Will they say you were their friend?
That's what matters in the end

Cuz in the end, there's no rewind
There's no turning back the time
When you leave this world behind
Will they say you were their friend?
That's what matters in the end

A very old and beautiful Irish hymn that reminds me of many verses from The Holy Bible.

LYRICS:

Be Thou my vision, O
Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to
me, save that Thou Art.

Thou my best thought,
by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping,
Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom,
Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee,
Thou with me, Lord;

Thou my great Father,
and I thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling,
and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle-shield,
sword for the fight,
Be Thou my dignity,
Thou my delight.

Thou my soul's shelter,
Thou my high tower.
Raise Thou me
heavenward,
O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not,
nor man's empty praise,
Thou mine inheritance,
now and always:

Thou and Thou only,
first in my heart,
High King of heaven,
my Treasure Thou art.

High King of heaven,
after victory won,
May I reach heaven's joys,
O bright heav'ns son!

Heart of my own heart,
whatever befall,
Still be my vision,
O ruler of all.

Be Thou my vision, O
Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to
me, save that Thou art.

Thou my best thought,
by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping,
Thy presence my light.

O Church Arise (Live)
The Mandate feat. Stuart Townend
Album • 22 SONGS • 1 HOUR AND 41 MINUTES • JAN 01 2006

A beautiful rendition of a song I think has a deeper Biblical understanding regarding rebirth.
LYRICS:

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed

Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you, its only seed

It's the heart that fears the breaking
That never learns the dance
It's the dream afraid of waking
That never takes a chance

It's the one who won't be taken
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul, afraid of dying
Who never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and for the strong

Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the Sun's love
In the Spring becomes the rose

When the night has been too lonely
When the road has been too long

When you think that love is only,
Only for the lucky, the lucky and the strong

Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows

Lies the seed that with the Sun's love
In the Spring becomes the rose, the rose

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

I started a blog and hope all who see this will venture there. It is a place where I have laid out what the Lord has shown me over many years about true salvation and what it means to be truly born again via the strait gate and narrow way. The blog is a work in progress, just as I am.

Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? (John 6:60)
Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? (John 6:67)
