A disturbing video of a homeless man getting punched repeatedly by cops has made its rounds on social media and now people are looking for answers.
According to an arrest report obtained by WDRB, officers were called to the parking garage at the PNC Tower in downtown Louisville, around 9 a.m. Tuesday, after someone reported that a man was harassing people and causing a disturbance. From there, cops say they found a security guard holding 29-year-old Foussene Pemba in a bear hug. Apparently, security employees told cops that they tried to escort Pemba off the property, but he became combative and was not able to remove him. Police tried to put Pemba in handcuffs, but he reportedly put his hands in front of his waist.
They also claim Pemba swung at one of the cops who retaliated with at least a dozen punches to his head. Many people who came across the clip found the move to be very extreme, with some noting that officers used excessive force. The community has urged for an investigation into the policemen. According to the news site, Louisville Metro Police Department has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his arrest.

The first African-American female student body president of American University won a $725,000 judgment on Friday in a lawsuit against #AndrewAnglin, the publisher of the neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer who incited a #racist “#trollstorm” targeting her, a judge ruled.
This was the third judgment in the past three months against Mr. Anglin. In a separate case on Thursday, a $14 million judgment was rendered against him. He owes a total of nearly $20 million to three people, but they have yet to see a cent in payments.
On the day that the student, Taylor Dumpson, was sworn in as American University’s student body president in May 2017, bananas were found hanging on nooses around campus.
The #bananas had messages scrawled on them. One referred to Ms. Dumpson’s predominantly black sorority and another read “#HARAMBEBAIT,” a reference to the gorilla killed at the #Cincinnati Zoo in 2016.
After news outlets reported on the nooses, Mr. Anglin posted Ms. Dumpson’s personal information online and encouraged his followers to harass her. Among them, Brian Ade and Evan McCarty heeded the call, threatening her with racist and demeaning messages online, according to a lawsuit filed last year.
Ms. Dumpson constantly feared for her safety and learned she had post-traumatic stress disorder, according to the lawsuit. She went on to graduate from American University and is enrolled in law school, one of her lawyers, Kristen Clarke, said.
Mr. McCarty, of Eugene, Ore., reached a settlement in December in which he agreed to apologize, renounce white supremacy, undergo counseling and help #civilrights groups fight hate and #bigotry.
