Fall is officially here and the fungi are popping up all over the place. Take a wander in the woods while we search for Maitake mushrooms or Hen of the Woods. Where do you find Maitakes? Normally at the base of oak trees although, I've heard they can also be found on maples.

In our travels, we encounter some other fantastic mushroom beauties. Now, I am NOT a mushroom expert and sometimes make an educated guess on fungus I come across in the woods but I don't always get it right.
