The United States’ position in the world has been in a steep decline of late as numerous influential nations seek to decouple themselves from the US-centered international order. In an effort to stem this tide of eroding influence. African countries have particularly been embracing China and Russia, which is why Vice President Kamala Harris was dispatched to the dark continent in an effort to shore up relationships. It didn’t go so well.
