The media view of possession where the parasite brain "activates" and the host's brain "deactivates" is an inaccurate portrayal of the real phenomenon that exists in nature.
What's really going on is the parasite influences the host's mind and convinces it that going up this branch is a good idea. The ant "willingly" does the parasite's bidding.
This issue exists in humans as well. Next time you wonder why someone is "willingly" doing something that doesn't benefit or even harm him, ask yourself this: Who is really benefitting?
Are all of your thoughts your own?

Homosexuality is caused by parasites. Many people are aware how worm-infested gay men are, but does anyone stop and consider that the worms themselves are causing this behavior? Sexual arousal was designed in us to incentivize reproduction, but some people find the same sex attractive. This obviously will never result in reproduction, the very reason for arousal in the first place.
This means only one thing: the worms are rewiring their sexual desire in order to fast-travel to the requested destination. When someone is sexually aroused by certain acts or people that will not result in reproduction or family cohesion, who or (((what))) is actually benefitting from it?
