I've been fiending for some classic OG RE1 for the Sony PlayStation. We're gonna do some early Spooktober in September. It's been a long time since I've played some Resident Evil 1, so this will be a very casual playthrough. I've decided to fire up RetroArch, and I found something called "Resident Evil: True Director's Cut". This is a romhack/modded version of Resident Evil 1 released this year, April 16th 2021. The idea is to make the best version possible of RE1 that combines the original music, Dualshock controls, and the original unedited cutscenes that were originally supposed to be in the game. I've been especially wanting to revisit this game since it also appeared on the infamous PlayStation Classic Console that did so poorly for numerous reasons. Anyway, wish me luck, and let's go!
