On 24th November 2020, the CEO of Qantas unveiled a new policy which said travellers would now have to prove they'd been vaccinated for COVID-19 before flying with them internationally. I wasn't too happy about this from a civil liberties standpoint, so I did an impromptu 'boycott Qantas' demonstration in Cathedral Square on Friday afternoon. I also stood for 40 minutes or so with a sign on the side of Memorial Ave, en route to Christchurch International Airport.
