This song was written around 2005, recorded around 2014, released in 2016, and inspired by events that happened 150 years ago. Dedicated to the Chinese-Americans who built the railroads throughout North America, the victims of the Rock Springs Massacre, Exclusion Act of 1882, etc, and also to their descendants and the other Asians in the western world who have found strength/inspiration in their stories of hardship and endurance. This song was written with an acoustic guitar after studying about this history and also reading the play by David Henry Hwang titled "The Dance and the Railroad" provided a spark of inspiration.
