One Thousand and One Nights is a collection of Middle Eastern folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age, from the 8th to the 14th century. The reason there is no authorship to the Arabian Nights is because they are very ancient stories, which come down to us from a time long before Islam existed. Great research by Robert, again.
