Today, ABC cancelled Roseanne Barr's hit TV show due to an offensive tweet, for which she apologized, comparing Valerie Jarrett to a mixture of the Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes.
While there is a strong argument to calling the tweet racist, it's really in the eye of the beholder as people of any race can be compared to animals. It also appears that ABC leaped at the opportunity to virtue signal and cancel a hit show. Hollywood is full of toxic hypocrisy and people know it. Roseanne should simply move to another network or platform where she is appreciated.
