What Happened To Avril Lavigne?

In this documentary we examine the dramatic transformation of gifted musician and singer Avril Lavigne from a rebellious quirky tomboy into the mass produced sterilized pop princess we see today. A lot of theories are in circulation regarding this and we will look at some of them and attempt to compare Avril from before 2004 and from 2004 onwards when noticeable changes in her personality, voice, music and appearance occurred seemingly overnight. Was this simply the result of her growing from her late teenage years into adulthood? Many believe it is something more disturbing than that. The documentary itself does not present any working hypothesis yet rather puts her interviews, performances and the environment in the music industry at the time into perspective, leaving the viewer to speculate.
