IRS Form 2350 Extension Request - Foreign Earned Income Exclusion (FEIE)

If you are a U.S. taxpayer that moved outside of the U.S. for a new job, you may qualify for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion (FEIE) to exempt those foreign earnings from U.S. taxes.

In order to qualify under the physical presence test, you'll need to be outside of the U.S. for a 12 month period.

If you moved during certain months of the year, you might need an additional extension request via Form 2350 to qualify for that exclusion.
