“On the night of October the 25th: 2018, a man named Stephan Rathbone vanished under mysterious circumstances. My friend, Eric, asked me to accompany our little group of investigators to the property for a non-intrusive preliminary investigation; it required just one high definition camcorder with proper low-light capabilities, which I set up in the doorway of the master bedroom.
We left everything as it was. The event is disturbing, even ominous! His phone had lain on the corridor floor for days; presumably the very spot where he was taken.
When we arrived on the 28th it was close to midnight; and a vicious high wind thunderstorm was in progress; part of a massive storm system that was moving over the Appalachians.
We found the front door open, and upon determining vacancy, we quickly rushed in, set up the camera and rushed out again; we had no intention of being in there any longer than was necessary; not knowing how the former tenant had disappeared; and given Asylum’s nature for inexplicable phenomena, we piled into Eric’s car and left the potentially cursed property immediately!
We headed down the mountain until we came to the Midnight Stop diner and pulled in, and we stayed there for about an hour discussing plans over warm cocoa for an in depth investigation should the video provide evidence of some form of infestation. And, it had! There was so much activity in the house that we were eager to get in there and get started; but we had to be careful! Something is there, something awful; and it sounds utterly terrifying!
I was fortunate that my nyctomorphic condition was in hibernation for several nights; otherwise, I would not have been able to do the investigation with my friends.”
