Memorial Day - The Unforgettable Fire - Pride (In the Name of Love)

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend and the usual BBQs will take place and fireworks and the masses, even those who claim to be faithful to Christ, will be totally unaware of what it truly is all about and miss the irony. As long as this fire burns, it remembers. We are in the flame. Until judgment day, as long as we are filled with the impressions of self-interest/vanity, the fires will flare up and those that conspire will make sure to stoke the flames. Matthew 6.

Christ was clear you cannot participate in wars, pay no attention to them, and you were to love one another. Can't drive out Satan with Satan. But where Pride and Rebellion rules, it's open season on enrolling the proud into warring and setting against one another. And what do we have to show for all of this rebellion? A world population filled with fear and loathing and perversion that wishes it were anywhere but here now being enrolled to go to Mars, which is the God of War and a barren desert, and no one sees it. Godless, without wisdom, without hope, without point. And some of them have Master Degrees - priceless.
