The DCB was a band that began at a local Open Mike evening back in 2011. I was beginning to make my way back to performing live after two years of illness and went along to a local club to sing a couple of songs. I met up with a couple of friends and after a couple of weeks decided to put a band together to play acoustic covers of classic 80s pop tunes. I decided to use my mandolin as the lead instrument. Dave Walker played his grandfather’s old double bass while Vince Gorman played rhythm guitar and cittern. My son completed the line up on cajon. We played local pubs and mini-festivals and recorded an album in my home studio that we sold at gigs. By 2013 the band had come to an end and we all moved on to different projects.
I put the video together using clips from the net. Apologies if it echoes Chris Rea’s original video.
