Also yes, I lost to Carbuncle. The fact that he even showed up after Satan came as an unexpected surprise to me. That loss left a bad taste in my mouth, but I'm not THAT determined to re-do Schezo's story over (his playthrough took me MONTHS to try a "no loss" run cause I kept loosing to Lagnus, Rulue, and/or Arle). Besides, nothing happens if you beat him. Carbuncle is the Akuma of this game if that makes sense.
