Today is the Feast of Pentecost. It's the one day of the year which especially honors the Holy Spirit. On this day 570 years ago, in 1453 A.D. Constantinople (the center of the Eastern "Orthodox" world) was completely overrun by Muslim invaders. It wasn't a coincidence that the "Orthodox" lost their capital & empire on the one feast day of year which specifically glorifies the Holy Spirit, after they dishonestly broke their solemn assent of agreement at the Council of Florence on the Filioque (that the Holy Spirit precedes from the Father & the Son), aside from them agreeing to (and then later reneging on) other Catholic teachings & to join the Catholic Church. For their spiritual rebellion, God allowed them to be subjugated by savages after treacherously rejecting the truth of God (the Filioque is shown in John 16 & was taught by Eastern early Church fathers: e.g., St. Athanasius, St. Gregory of Nyssa, St. Epiphianus, etc).
The "Orthodox" reject God's truth & His church — they are a series of rebel sects void of piety & charity. They reject much more than the Filioque: the "Orthodox" reject the Papacy (Matthew 16:18-19 & John 21:15-17) & allow divorce & remarriage (Luke 16:18), among other things. May more from the sects of the "Orthodox" come to the truth & be converted to the true orthodox faith — the Catholic faith — the only true Christian faith.
