Dr Michael Brown often refers back to his time at the Brownsville Revival, where he led the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry from 1996 - 2000. He often describes it as a genuine move of God where miracles occurred. I decided to research the topic for myself and I was completely shocked to find out what actually occurred at this "revival." Even calling this a revival is an insult to The Lord, in my opinion. Steve Hill was brought to the church specifically to start this movement, which was patterned after the Toronto Blessing, on Father's Day of 1995. The Toronto Blessing is eerily similar to the Hindu practice of Shaktipat, where a Guru causes an initiate to have a Kundalini awakening. Is this what the hyper charismatic movement is all about? What is the truth behind the Kundalini awakening? Personally, I believe this to be the impartation of a spirit/demon, and I believe that it has completely infiltrated the Charismatic Christian movement, and even the likes of Dr Michael Brown has been deceived into believing that it is the Holy Spirit, bringing revival to the land.
