Lyrics:
[Verse]
Walking down the street
Feeling fine and dandy
Looking for a date on this Mama's Day so randy
I like 'em skinny
I like 'em really thick
Mamas with daddy issues
They got that certain kick
[Verse 2]
Anorexic mamas
They got that special grace
Big
Curvy mamas put a smile on my face
But it's Mama's Day
Gotta treat 'em right
Take 'em out somewhere fancy
Under neon lights
[Chorus]
Mama's Day doo wop
We're gonna rock and sway
Dating moms on this special day
From the park to the Burger King bathroom
We'll have a good time
Groovin' to the doo wop tune
Formed in the twilight hours of 1957, amidst the flickering neon glow of Nickel Diner booths, The Raging Boners were more than just a collection of slick haircuts and soaring falsettos. They were five voices, perfectly blended, yearning to capture the teenage spirit of a rapidly changing America.
Eugene "The Dream" Miller, the lead vocalist, possessed a voice like melted butter, smooth and effortless. Backing him were the barbershop-sharp harmonies of brothers, Ronnie "Rock" and Frankie "Rhythm" Russo, their voices intertwining like threads of destiny. Holding the low end was the stoic bass of Anthony "Thunder" Tamburelli, the heartbeat that grounded their melodies. And on the drums, keeping the rhythm tight, was the ever-grinning Joey "Lightning" Moretti, whose infectious energy pulsed through every performance.
Their rise was swift. Local sock hops became captivated by their soulful renditions of doo-wop classics, infused with a touch of youthful rebellion. Original tunes like "Saturday Night Sookie" and "Let Me Fill You Up With My Milkshake" became anthems, capturing the innocence and longing of young love.
