On August 6, 2023, the Military Fans Worldwide YouTube channel posted the fifth episode of the Chinese military-themed propaganda TV series "Chasing Dreams," which was released last year by China Central Television (CCTV). The episode depicts an encounter between a squadron of Chinese fighter jets and a "foreign military aircraft." After the encounter, one of the pilots says: “When collision seemed imminent, we were all prepared to sacrifice our lives... We fight to the end [and] to show our great fortitude. If I exhausted all my ammunition in real combat, my fighter would become my final weapon, striking the enemy like a missile.”
