Trump's New Press Secretary Kicks MSM Butt, 3062

G¬ood evening, I’m still reporting on election 2020.
I’ve been an avid political participant for more years than I care to admit to, but to give a good hint, I can distinctly remember watching the 1956 Republican National Convention held at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. It was only the second time in television history that a national political convention had been televised – as they used to say – coast-to-coast.
Among the candidates were General Dwight D. Eisenhower, General Douglas McArthur, and Gov. Earl Warren, who would later become the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
I still remember sitting in our humble government-furnished apartment which was a refurbished airmen’s barracks, enraptured with the new television into another world 2,000 miles away and live.
I covered the White House throughout the President Jimmy Carter years – as a Democrat – and into the Reagan years as a newly-minted Republican.
I took this picture on a chilly day in Dec. of 1980 in the White House Rose Garden, shortly after Governor Reagan’s election on the occasion of his first visit to the White House as President-elect.
Today President Trump’s newest press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, took questions in the White House Press Room, a long, skinny, cramped facility unbecoming the house of the U.S. President, where I have stood 20 feet from the President many times.
I’m doing all this bragging for one reason; I’ve seen them all come and go and there has never been a presidential press secretary more willing to kick butt and take names of the knee-jerk boobs currently serving as White House journalists that this lady – hmmm, with the possible exception of Dana Perino.
Watch Kayleigh. She is the right person at the right time to come along and not only punch back hard at a hostile press, but control the room as well. She is a welcomed combatant in the final battle royale in the history of the United States – the re-election of President Trump.
