Durch eine telefonische Umfrage unter Chefärzten wurden Zahlen von Intensivstationen in Deutschland ermittelt und daraus geht hervor, dass ca. 90% der beatmeten Schwerstkranken einen Migrationshintergrund haben. Zitat Wieler: „Da sind Parallelgesellschaften mitten in unserem Land. Wenn man dort etwas ausrichten will, klappt das nur mit beinharter Sozialarbeit in den Moscheen. Und da kommen wir nicht rein. Und das ist Mist. Diese Gruppe besteht aus vier Millionen Menschen in Deutschland. Das entspricht einem Anteil von 4,8 Prozent. Auf den Intensivstationen liegen aber deutlich über 50 Prozent aus dieser Gruppe.“
