Science is a DE-ductive and destructive lens in which to view the world, whereas the Bible gives us a PRO-ductive and creative framework defining what we can know and what we ought to stray from. Christianity does not prohibit possibilities, but rather opens inquiry to what is beyond our God-given knowledge. These two pitted worldviews are a manifestation of a deeper battle, Judaic Talmudism (disputation against God) vs. a contending for God's law, the natural order. Pardon my banter but I have been thinking deeply about this, and also how we have strayed so far from even being able to make sense of the mythical phenomenon that our Christian predecessors wrote extensively about.
