I lived in Toronto for a few years, and that made me MGTOW before the #MeToo nonsense. I've been MGTOW monk for about five years now. I am 28 years old. I work on the management side of the construction trades. In the United States, any project with federal funding has a female work quota. This has never been a huge issue in the past. However, with #MeToo and more liberal states in the US such as New York adopting extremely broad definitions of sexual harassment, it has made many things challenging in our industry that has and is dominated by men. We now have to treat female workers with kid gloves. And even then, we still are dealing with sexual harassment lawsuits anyway. Even our company president, who is very rational, is unsure of how to handle this. Adopting new policies and promulgating them only has a limited effect, as most male workers don't read such policies. Further more, New York State's Department of Labor now has a requirement for sexual harassment training for all employees (including owners), effective at the start of 2019. We still don't know how we are going to implement this training on the field, especially for newly hired workers in the middle of a project. This seems like another case of hypergamy entering male spaces. The space being construction in this case. It is preventing important work from even happening, as we are now more concerned about not getting sued versus doing a good job on projects. In a case like this, where female hires are usually legally mandated, as most projects have federal funds, and legal structures cowtowing to females' desire to suck men of resources dry in place, is there any other answer from MGTOW besides to leave the industry all together? Maybe the answer is 'yes.' But my concern is that hypergamy is entering EVERY male space. Soon, there will no place left to go. Honestly, if the construction trades aren't a male space anymore, what else will be in western societies? Is the next level of MGTOW to create its own society? Thank you. I don't think that forcing women into the construction trades on Federal projects is going to destroy the whole construction industry. Just the part dealing with federal contracts. I'm predicting that there will be a shift in your industry. The increased cost that the federal government dumps on companies forcing them to deal with women's feelings means that contractors will shift to doing more private work instead of projects for the federal government. The companies too stupid to realise what they are doing will lose money, face sexual harrassment lawsuits and potentially go out of business. Mark my words, word will get around about these stupid policies forcing companies to hire women to work in construction on certain projects. But what if women don't want to work in construction? Rules like this are meant to get women to breakthrough into male dominated fields without their choice.
