In this week's episode, occultist John Michael Greer joins us to talk about his own experience in Druidry and his views on spirituality in modern times. In addition, we discuss his thought-provoking perspective on the catabolism that human civilization is bound to if it can't help it, and what he appropriately calls "the myth of progress" that many seem to worship in place of a deity. He's one of few people out there with a truly original, macroscopic view on world history and the source of the world's many spiritual and existential ails. JMG offers a lot of interesting insights that I think are important to anyone trying to rationalize the fallen world that we are in, and maybe how we can be realistically optimistic about the future.
