IF types are natively judgers by nature due to having a feeling rational main frame (leading to an organizing attitude) that sets the primary demands. As reflex most commonly Fi types would get J in MBTI tests, although at times may score as borderline P/J for whatever reason... In rarer occasions such individuals may test or be tested to MBTI P when having a long aux. In third case to observers and tester the auxiliary is more noticeable than the dominant. However, if you ask the person, he/she will report that the dominant function (F) is the main life theme... and just doesn't look that way when observed by others or in testing instruments.

When most MBTI people refer to "Fi" they don't talk about IF but rather of the manifestations of Jung F aux with themes like self-expressions, identity... Informative attitude. Those are referred as "FP" traits. Such people have some kind of interpretative attitude: they like talking about [the] meaning of/in all sorts of things, from concepts and news to objects and behaviors. They like various forms of translation and expression that might reveal different kinds of affinities. Such individuals prefer to [not] do/use things and means according to the [tangible/potential/symbolic] significance they see in them.
