Michael Aquino was a military intelligence officer who specialized in psychological warfare. He joined Anton LaVey's Church of Satan in 1969 and rose rapidly through the ranks. In 1970, while serving with the US military during the Vietnam War, he wrote a tract titled "Diabolicon" in which he reflected upon his growing divergence from the Church of Satan's doctrines. Aquino founded the "satanic" Temple of Set in the United States in 1975. He possessed a P.h.D. in political science and drew broadly upon Western philosophy and science in his arguments.

Poster's note: nobody said you gotta like this guy, but considering who he was and what he was involved in, it might be worth listening to what he says. Just sayin..
