In our mad scramble to blame external situations for everything, we have missed an important fact: the source of our difficulties is inside.

"This video series is absolutely phenomenal at diagnosing the root causes of human insanity, which is envy. Envy is directly related to the concept of equity, since envy attacks that which is good in order to bring everybody back down to the same equitable level (equality of outcomes)."
In this interview, the brilliant Brazilian psychoanalysts, Dr. Norberto Keppe and Dr. Cláudia Pacheco, remind us of the human pathology that lies behind our problems. What they discuss is provocative: our psychological unclarity is leading us away from reality and into madness. We must become conscious of this if we are to survive and develop.
"THE LAW OF JANTE" (or The Law of ENVY) is a "speciality" of Denmark/Scandinavia.
The following three lines is a huge mirror of reality:
"Used generally in colloquial speech in the Nordic countries as a sociological term to describe a condescending attitude towards individuality and success, the term refers to a mentality that de-emphasises individual effort and PLACES ALL EMPHASIS ON THE COLLECTIVE * (see below), while simultaneously denigrating those who try to stand out as individual achievers."
* a brave individual (Danish) man has dared to mirror this mentality in the book "Manipulism and the weapon of guilt - Collectivism exposed" - FREE DOWNLOAD via http://www.manipulism.com
"The Law of Jante" could also be termed "THE LAW OF ENVY" and "that ENVY is the root of EVIL (mental illness, etc.)".
It's very obvious and transparent when observing the Danish society as a whole. The Danes have been labelled as the happiest people in the world for decades, and that the Danes had the best health care system in the world, etc.
Mental illness and all sorts of psychiatric/psychological diseases have been on the rise at extreme pace the last 3 decades - app. 10% of the population is on anti-depressants, and when you scratch the surface, you find a much more sinister mentality operating (see the book "Manipulism..." - FREE DOWNLOAD via http://www.manipulism.com)
More about "The Law of Jante" below...
There are ten rules in the law as defined by Sandemose, all expressive of variations on a single theme and usually referred to as a homogeneous unit: You are not to think you're anyone special or that you're better than us.
The ten rules state:
You're not to think you are anything special.
You're not to think you are as good as we are.
You're not to think you are smarter than we are.
You're not to imagine yourself better than we are.
You're not to think you know more than we do.
You're not to think you are more important than we are.
You're not to think you are good at anything.
You're not to laugh at us.
You're not to think anyone cares about you.
You're not to think you can teach us anything.
These ten principles or commandments are often claimed to form the "Jante's Shield" of the Scandinavian people.
