Despite the fact that the Devil's Comet has been visible in the sky since April 2024, the comet has yet to show its true beauty. That only occurs as its path brings the comet closer to the sun. While this means that while the comet is generally more visible during the day, those on Earth are unable to see it because of the sun being out. The sun needs to be setting for the Devil's Comet to put on a show.
The best time to see Devil's Comet in April is "in the western horizon at twilight." This means that the window in which to view the comet at its brightest is very short. But those who are able to see Devil's Comet in May will have a better view as the comet will be higher in the night sky. This will make it much easier to spot.
