12th February 2023 – (Qingdao City) The marine development authority of Jimo District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, said on Sunday (12th) that it had received a notice from the Municipal Bureau that an unidentified flying object (UFO) had been found in the sea area near Rizhao City, and preparations to shoot it down were underway. The marine development authority of Jimo District sent a short message to inform that sea vessels that the location of the UFO was at 120° 51′ east longitude and 35° 37′ north latitude.
Ships operating at sea should pay attention to prevent risks of collision. The authorities asked the fishermen to cooperate in taking pictures and collecting evidence, and if the conditions permit, they are allowed to salvage it.
When the UFO was discovered, the Chinese military was carrying out a military mission in the northern Yellow Sea. The Dalian Maritime Safety Administration of Liaoning Province issued a navigation warning last week, stating that from 4pm on Sunday to 4pm pm next Sunday (19th), military missions will be carried out within the range connecting the points in the northern part of the Yellow Sea in the Bohai Strait. Among them, live ammunition shooting will be carried out from 8am on Monday (13th) to 4pm on Friday (17th), and other ships are prohibited from entering. Some Mainland netizens speculated that the UFO originated from the United States or its allies. Some even commented, “The revenge came quite quickly.”
Chinese journalist and the former editor-in-chief and party secretary of the conservative popular media Global Times, Hu Xijin said that “This year can be called the ‘UFO year’ and the ‘Shooting down year’, “So, we should be more careful.”
