Oftentimes i refer to the old biblical books that talk about good behavior. I think the retoric torwards “tolerating evil behavior” is mistaken/percieved to mean subservience torwards it.
My take is that: we should make sure to separate from the evil behavior, to let evil highlight itself against you thus why you should “turn the other cheek”.
This does not mean to be subservient to evil, or to show favorable behaviors to it. But for example, if someone robs you, instead of robbing the person back, you should “turn the other cheek” and highlight your behavior against the evil one. Fire cannot fight fire because they are the same thing. Evil cannot fight evil because they are the exact same thing. Evil+evil=More evil. Turning the other cheek does not mean Loving evil or “obeying evil”. In a way it means going against it.
