A lament for the oldest pub in all England

Too too sad about this 😢 The Trip to Jerusalem in Nottingham, oldest pub in England, is shut like all the other pubs and inns here.

Why does this matter you may ask? But to us English folk what is better than to sit in an old pub where your forefathers gathered and soak up the atmosphere with a pint of English ale? 🍻

The Trip is built into the caves at the foot of Nottingham Castle.
